May i see your veils?

John Smith, on March 9, 2020 at 12:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 19

I don't know what length of veil to get (fingertip or chapel), and I'm having a hard time picturing how it will look. It'll likely be a somewhat breezy day.

If you have photos of yourself wearing your dress and veil, I'd love to see them! I'm worried a long veil will take away from the train of the dress.

Gorgeous! I love the photo ops that a long veil enables!

Do you feel like it took away from your dress' train at all?

Not at all! My train wasn't super elaborate, but it did have a few lace appliques on the top layer of tulle along with an under layer of lacy tulle. You could still see all of it through my veil, plus I only wore the veil for the ceremony and pictures, so my dress was on display the rest of the evening!

This is mine at the alterations shop so excuse the mess! My train is MASSIVE and covered in lace appliques. I originally chose and bought a fingertip length veil (at the suggestion of my family) when I really wanted a cathedral. I saw this one and fell absolutely in LOVE! I'm so glad I found this one and changed my mind. I dont think it takes away from my train either.

I can't decide on a veil either. They make veil weights if you are concerned about the wind. The look like jewels or pearls normally. Here is an example,

I was so close to buying a fingertip-length veil until on a whim I tried this one on! I absolutely loved it and don't feel that it took away from my dress at all!

Love your veil! It's gorgeous! What length is it and your dress? I'm debating on if I should do a chapel or something a little longer . My dress is chapel length but not sure the exact length.

Thank you! My veil is cathedral length and my dress has a long train, about the same length has my veil. Never thought I would have a long veil, but when they put it on me I felt so royal lol

I love all these long veils! They're so pretty!

I was really wishy-washy on whether I wanted a veil or not, and was leaning toward not, until my sister found a fingertip length veil with almost exactly the same lace as what was on my dress. I couldn't not get it, at that point, lol.

Here’s a pic of mine when I tried it on at the shop. I originally was going to get a shorter plain veil until I saw the matching one.

The train of my dress had a lot of lacing and details to it, but I don’t think the veil took too much away from it.
