Maui or Kauai first?

We are doing 5 or 6 days on each Island. Which one do you recommend visiting first? I was planning on Maui then Kauai, but I was told by a close friend to switch the order. She went to both for her honeymoon years ago. She said she was doing more active things on Kauai and was able to relax more in Maui. Thoughts? Thank you!

Hi Ginger! The input from your friend is great! You can just use her feedback and allow it to guide your plans! For instance, if you want to dive right into activities, then visit Kauai first; however, if you're looking to relax upon arriving, then visit Maui first!
