Does anyone have any suggestions for Maui? We are there for a week, and really up for anything!

So I haven’t been but I’ve been brainstorming about going and I’d want to do a coffee farm tour and a volcano tour

Hi! So we thought we might go to Maui for our honeymoon but we changed to Alaska. However these were some things that we planned to do (I’ve also already been to Maui so I’ve done some of these things too):
    Road to Hana,
Luau,Volcano tour- Haleakala,Horseback riding,Lavender farm,And of course relaxing on the beach! There’s probably snorkeling/ scuba/ kayaking as well! Maybe a helicopter tour? Have fun planning!

We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights in Maui (and 4 nights in Oahu). We stayed at the Royal Lahaina resort, it was great! $365 a night for an ocean view room, breakfast buffet & rental car. We bought snorkels & fins, and did a lot of random snorkeling at local beaches. We saw a ton of great fish down at Makena Beach, and a turtle around Kahekili Beach Park. We had lunch at Mama's Fish House, the view was awesome & the food was amazing. Then we drove up the street to Ho'okipa Beach and saw about 30 turtles just sunbathing on the sand. It was CRAZY. We walked down to Whalers Village and had a drink, that was relaxing. We went to downtown Lahaina and saw the Feast a Lele luau, that was great & a really fun experience on the beach. We had poke at Maui Fish House and it was SO GOOD.

I've been to Maui twice now and would love to go back. Definitely go to a Luau while you're there, they're so much fun. Wake up early to do sunrise tour to the top of Haleakala, it's worth it. If you like wine, hit up Maui Winery at Ulupalakua Ranch, and on the way to the winery there's a nice little place to stop for breakfast called Grandma's Coffee House. And of course Road to Hana. Oh and definitely try some POG (passion fruit, orange, guava) juice, it's AMAZING!

Aloha! I live on Maui, and I have a ton of suggestions. Definitely plan on sunrise or sunset at the summit of Haleakala (it will be the most amazing sunrise/sunset you've ever seen). You need reservations for sunrise, so plan now. I prefer sunrise as it's a magical way to start the day. It does get very cold at the top, so plan accordingly.

Check out the Road to Hana, but plan to stay overnight in Hana. That way, you can actually experience the amazing nature there and plan a few hikes/outings.

Book a surf lesson with Maui Surfer Girls! So much fun!

The snorkeling here is okay...it's pretty amazing to see the sea turtles. But many of the coral reefs are so damaged by tourism and sunscreen, so don't expect snorkeling similar to the Caribbean. PLEASE plan to buy a locally made, reef-safe sunscreen (these are zinc-based).

If you are here during whale season (November - April), book a whale watching tour. During other months, a sunset dinner cruise is equally a lot of fun.

There are TONS of amazing hikes and gorgeous beaches to enjoy. Lots of great restaurants too. I'm a couples photographer, and if you're interested in some fun honeymoon photos, don't hesitate to reach out. Aloha!
