First, I should mention that we are (very young!) "sixty-somethings", married 38 years, who are planning a "convalidation" ceremony. This is a Catholic marriage service for couples who were married outside the Catholic Church. I am Catholic and divorced so back then, we couldn't have a Catholic wedding. My prior marriage is being annulled. So we are planning a very simple church service next year, nearest to our wedding anniversary. My Matron of Honor, who is also my dearest and very best friend, and also the church choir/music director, (I am in her choir) and who has helped, encouraged and supported me for many years, most recently in the annulment process. She is a very young 70-something with very simple taste. She doesn't wear earrings at all, she wears only 2 necklaces, one a cross/heart from her husband, the other a religious medal that was her grandmother's. She does have bracelets, quite a few already, 1 of which I gave her. We are also "Prayer Partners" so I was thinking perhaps of a very special set of Rosary beads, something in a wedding motif perhaps, in sterling silver and perhaps real pearls (or very good created pearls) (the wedding is in June). Although she has many sets of Rosaries, I think a set from me for this occasion might be nice, and I'd be willing to spend at least $100 on a gift for her. I would like to hear any ideas, especially from any of you who are Catholic or devout Christians. My other thought was a charm bracelet in either sterling or 14K gold with an appropriate charm - something that could be engraved. Thank you.
