Mask Wearing Picture Ideas

L. Thomson, on July 28, 2020 at 7:43 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 12
My fiance and I are getting married on 10-10-2020. We will not be postponing due to COVID. We plan on everyone taking a part in our wedding will wear a face mask and asked all guests to wear one. My fiance are going to try to take a couple pictures outside together without our masks and also wear our masks for the rest of the pictures. Do you have any example pics of good wedding poses with face masks? Thanks!!!

Since it was just the two of us we didn't need masks but I wanted to take some pictures to remember the craziness!

    Love them!! Thanks for sharing!

We've had a couple family members question whether or not we should postpone because of there will be pictures of us while wearing face masks. We see nothing wrong with wearing them and it's going to make them unique. Besides, very little of our wedding is going to be traditional.

We haven't had our wedding yet, so I don't have any pictures, but I've been thinking about it a lot. I think most of our pictures will just be candid shots. If we do attempt any group pictures, we'll stand far apart and have the photographer on the deck or in a window of a higher floor so she can get all of us in the frame.

I’ve been trying to think of ideas for group & family photos as well. I was thinking we could all wear our masks, also be spaced apart and still be in the same frame or do like a Flying V where we’re spaced apart as well.

I've been thinking of that same formation as well. Hoping my soon to be SIL (my prof photographer) can fit us all in.

This was our one and only mask picture. I was very resistant to the whole idea. Probably still a little bitter about Covid at the time but I actually really enjoy having this to look back on someday.

You both look great!!! Covid has definitely thrown us for a loop. We had everything, including our budget, pretty planned out already. I'm the type of person who over plans. Like if I'm going on a weekend trip, I might pack 6 outfits and several pairs of shoes. Not due to being "high maintenance," but due to the worry that something will happen last minute that will require a change of clothes. Now we are making decisions like providing masks for guests, having hand sanitizer in key places around the room, only serving beverages that are in bottles or cans, and reducing the number of cake tiers to 2 (1 to save, 1 to enjoy) and having individually packaged cupcakes to keep guests safer. I recently had a bridesmaid panic because she was worried about wearing a mask and it messing up her makeup for pictures. Covid is teaching us the meaning of flexibility! I guess this is why I've been looking up wedding photos, seeing what poses will look the most flattering (my fiance and I are both plus size) and whether we will need to wear a mask for all pictures. I'm hoping that as long as their isn't a mask mandate for outdoor public areas, we can at least have our couple only pictures without our masks.

Masks are meant to be worn when you're not able to socially distance from people outside of your household. (Some places have rules that go further, but that's the point of them.) So, you should definitely be able to have couples photos taken without masks as long as your photographer stays at least six feet away, since the two of you are part of the same household.

We're requesting our photographer to do portraits of couples/family units individually but I would still like to have them in the same frame as us, distanced with masks, etc.

I believe we also have that planned, especially for my family. The last time we had professional pictures together, I was 9. But on my fiance's side, we have them done almost yearly.
