I have no personal experience with it. However, you might check out the reviews here and here.

I shot a corporate awards banquet there earlier this year. The food was about what you'd expect for a serving line. Not exceptional, not terrible. If I had one complaint, it would be that I felt the facility was somewhat dated in its decor. It's a very strange place to get into as well. It's kind of behind a shopping center, in a business complex, there is no real easy way to enter, just a bit awkward.

I had my whole wedding their. I love it. I had lighting, harptist, chair covers & sashes etc. For all of that for the price was worth it. Open bar, table clothes, food buffet or seated, napkins, dj, wedding cake, bridel suite was all included and more. The staff was so wonderful their. They took very good care of us. We had a wedding crasher at the head table and the took him out so professional and know one could even tell. They kept everything in a timely matter. It was so much to do, but they are so organized to the T. I recommond them for anyone. You can click on my photos over their. It was very classy. They also have other locations as well if you look on their website. It was well worth it. Everyone had a great time. The staff went beyond. They have so many managers their too. And the staff lifted my dress and follow me everywhere. It was like royal service. PM me if you have anymore questions.

I am so glad to hear a good comment about Martin's because this is where we are holding ceremony and reception. After reading the reviews I was hesitant to sign a contract but Robin assured me that everything would be fine.

Their reviews vary so widely, I wondered if all the brides were talking about the same location. I guess if there is a change in personnel, that could result in unfortunate outcomes.

We are having our wedding reception there. The price of their packages are wonderful. I love the people that I deal with so far. Not so hard to get to (a couple of miles from the exit) and ample parking and big ballrooms. The decor and everything might look a bit outdated, but I promise you they look good in the picture Smiley smile

The deal that we got is $55 per person plus tax and tip which has pretty much everything actually more compare to the wedding package at Waterford Springfield and their's start at $73 per person for a saturday night. Some hotels I've looked at starts at $92 per person, I've seen $100 at other hotel ballrooms.

I don't know about the food though, Our tasting is in Feb2011- PM if you want to be updated.

But, I'd say if you want to save and be practical and wants to deal with nice and professional people- Go with Martins Crosswinds-Greenbelt.

I looked at my contract and mine is $55/pp before the ceremony and the cake (which we're probably not getting there because I want more control over it).

I had paid about $65 pp. People look at the decor but it is what you do with it. I tell you one thing their decor is a lot better than most of these places. Their bathrooms are very nice and people do not have to stand in line. And you can get dress their etc. What I done was spice it up with chair covers (white) sash (red). Had black table clothes with red napkins. And I had upstage lighting going throughout the room (red). And my table arrangements were vases with lamp shades and a red light in them. When I went to view the place their first time someone had a company to come out and fit up the place. This bride had crystals everywhere, drappery, stage etc. It was the best. So it all depends what you plan to do. Their pictures may be outdated but it's what you want for the decorations. They also have it if you want to get marry outside as well. But I had save the money and just did it inside. It was the best because people did not have to travel anywhere.

@ Wonderful moment. Thats what I plan on doing. I am not using their centerpieces. I'm bringing my own. I don't know if I'm using their table clothes. Did you? What about their chair covers did you use them.

They only provide the table clothes and napkins. It was lovely. I had to provide my own chair covers. This company I had used. She is pretty good and knows about Martins Crosswinds. Any place you pick out can be very nice. It depends on the decor etc. Some brides can pick the uglyest place but use drapery, crystals and turn the place around. I am sure you watch some of those on TV with the wedding planners. I will tell you this the bar was a hit. The kids love it too. They felt like the adults and order a slashy and what ever juice or virgin drinks. It's all you can drink. I did get the deluxe package with the bar. I know DH and many of them was drinking the most expensive drink they could and had finished the bottle. The lady said that they were out, and he told him to get another bottle, which they did with no problem. And the food O Boy. Here I am thinking I will get two plates, but they came out with about 4-5 different plates. I was like when is it going to end.

So your guests have plenty to pick from and will be full. You do not have to worry about them not eating.

@ Wonderful moment. I have a wedding planner who has worked with Martins. My clors ar blue white and silver. I am afraid that the blues will not match. Did you have your ceremony daytime or evening? Did they rush you out?
