Married Ladies, how long did your hair & Makeup take day of?

My guesstimate was about 15 minutes for my hair and 30 for my make up. i was wrong! it took like 45 for my hair and 30 for my make up, so the MUA had to begin my face while the hair stylist worked on my hair if not there was no way i was going to make my 4pm wedding. LOL!

A friend who is a stylist did my hair and I did my own make up. Since I have a lot of super thick hair it took a bit to curl it all and she had to "hide" some of bulk by doing french braids along the bottom. Total time was about 2 hours for everything.

The MUAs that I've seen so far have suggested 45 minutes for the bride, and 40 minutes for the others. I'm sure there's a little "cushion" built in, but I would imagine this is about right for the make-up. Makes sense that hair would be 45-60 minutes, depending on what you're doing.

To do my hair , make up and tattoo coverup it took about an hour and a half. Maybe a little over. In contrast it took about 45 minutes to do my MOH's hair and makeup.

It took almost 2 hours for me. But I also have pretty unruly hair so straightening it took quite a while. Also, I have rarely heard of a bride's makeup taking less than 30 minutes. It seems the average is about 45.

Hair took 45 minutes day of ... makeup took almost 1 hour day of...

My trial for hair was just a tad longer and my trial for makeup was an hour and a half.

I think you need to discuss timing with your MUA and hair stylist.

Hey Kiesha, me and my entire bridal party got our hair and makeup done, so with that being said it took 7 hours for all of us to get ready. I had 7 girls total. It took my mua about 1-2 hours to do my hair and makeup, as I had a tattoo that I wanted covered. Good luck.

I didn't have a hair trial but it took 2 hrs all together but my hair dresser wasn't good at all. cause my hair was falling down even before the wedding omg!
