My parents do that. My mom does it purely for reasons such as shes a night owl so she rather be up on her phone or doing whatever and rather not disturb my dad

I definitely used to aggravate my husband when I was on my phone while he was trying to sleep. We leave our phones in the living room now when it's time to go into the bedroom.

My parents do it because they each have different injuries that needed different beds, they said they sleep so much better now.
I wish I had the room for two beds in my house, I'm a light sleeper and fiance rustling around at night can wake me up.

We did it for about 6 months when my husband was waiting to see a sleep doctor. He got a cpap machine and no longer snores so we’re back to the same bed. But I say whatever works best for the couple.

Not for me, we both get anxiety if we’re not sleeping close. We fall asleep cuddling. Pressure for sex isn’t a thing, we have matching libidos. I don’t know if I’d wake up feeling more beautiful, I kinda look like a hag in the morning with my hair in my face.

I could definitely see why you might need different beds if you have injuries.

Snoring can definitely be a reason to sleep in different beds.

We sleep in separate beds most of the time. Usually it’s because we are on different sleep/wake schedules and it’s easier to wake up 2 hours beforehand and get ready without disturbing the other. There are other times when We like to share the bed, but many times it’s easier to be separated for more comfort/space and temperature. Whatever works for the couple

The cpap is completely silent, I can’t hear a thing! My husband’s sleep study showed he stopped breathing over 30 times an hour so I’m really glad he got one!

I would totally do this. I have to toss and turn before falling asleep, and I wouldn't want to cause FH to lose sleep!

My parents do it and they love it. My dad has night terrors and will hit and kick all night long. I have to say that I love it when my fiancé sleeps on the couch cause I sleep better and I feel well rested. I have to fight him plus my dog and also my two cats in space on our queen bed. He will sleep on the couch sometimes to watch tv without waking me up or I have to work while he is off the next day. I do the same thing but by accident. I have a problem where I just fall asleep when I get too comfortable.

We sleep in different beds. We have different sleep schedules and she snores super loud. Is it ideal? Not really. It certainly has it's advantages. We sleep better and have our own separate space for alone time. Never argue about Netflix!
We do everything else like normal...cuddles, sex, watch tv. Then when it's time for bed that person goes into their bedroom.

Probably not. He loves sleeping next to me since he is a cuddler. I am not. It’s just easier for us to sleep separately when we have days off aren’t together sometimes.
