I'm getting married in almost a month, February 1st 2020!

Does anyone know how soon you have to get your marriage license at the court house?

Can someone explain to me how this works? BTW I'm in Texas

I'm in Texas as well Emily you can fill out the application now at the court house just be sure to read all the requirements. There is a 72 hour waiting period from what I read and as long as your wedding is not more than 3 months out you should be fine. Since yours is a month away I would go ahead and complete the application marriage license. I would reach out to your local county clerk for more details if needed.

According to this, there is a 72 hour waiting period unless you are active military for a license, and once issued, it is valid for 90 days. Definitely reach out to your local county clerk about the application process and for any clarifications you need
