How long did it take to get your marriage certificate back?

I would call your country clerk and ask how long it takes. Ours was certified and given back to us the day we took it to file. Though the pastor said he had heard it was taken a few weeks. We got five copies to send off my name changes and insurance stuff.

We got married August 8th and put the marriage license in the mailbox that night, which means it was actually mailed 8/10. I think we got the certificate back either 8/14 or 8/17, so there wasn't a delay. I would call city hall/whoever you filed it with and ask them for an update. If they've already processed/mailed it, you know you'll have it soon. If they haven't, you may be able to pay a rush fee so you can get it sooner.

They didn't give us the option of ordering more than one when we applied for the license so we only have one and with covid it'd take a while to get another one. I'm not in a huge rush to change my name so I don't think it's really a problem, but seeing that you got five has me questioning that.

Mine was very quick and easy, they actually said not to send it too far ahead of time. We send priority and also included a priority return label which sped up the process, probably 1 week from sending to receiving if back.

I got married on the 12th and ours came today (the 25th)

I got married on Friday the 4th I went on the 17th and picked it up. I saw on the certificate that it was received by the clerk of courts on the 10th but the lady at the court house lied and said I would see it online first yea,no I called and spoke to someone else who looked and was like it’s here .. give it a week or so and then call

We received ours the day we turned it in.

It really depends on where you're located. Mine took a little over a month to get back.

We got ours in the mail about 2 weeks after. This is in Oregon. We got two copies. In hindsight, I should have asked for more.

For our county we applied on 8/24 and received an automated email stating it would take 4-6 weeks for someone to call us and set up a zoom call and then they would issue it at that time and mail it out to us. Unfortunately for us that was playing it really close to our October 23rd wedding so we had to drive an hour away to another county where they issued it right then and there. You really just have to call and check with different counties on their procedures.

I got married at the end of April and we got ours back within two weeks. And I’d imagine things must have improved by then?

I got mine the same day I turned it in.

I got married in Clark County (Las Vegas) and live in Northwest Indiana. It was posted to the website maybe about a week after the wedding and it took about a week to come in the mail. I think it just depends where you get married. I am sure Vegas is used to sending to out of town residents.
