    It doesn't have to be "the season". Maroon pops no matter what, if you're worried about it add a lighter accent color.

    Just do it.

    People say maroon is more of a fall color because it's a darker and more saturated colour. But I don't think anyone at your wedding is really going to care what your colours are or if they're season appropriate.

    I love maroon always! I think if you use a light blush color as well in the flowers and extra extra greenery then that is summery enough for me!

    Honestly, I think maroon is one of those colors that you can do year 'round. And this is definitely one of those things that you just get to do what you want : )

    We've chosen burgundy/wine as our color. The wedding is planned for April and I didn't worry about the time of year just what we wanted. Go with what you want.

    Im doing maroon and gold in May! YOU are what makes your wedding 'go'. I am getting married in a historical castle/'museum' and wanted a very romantic theme. Didn't think twice about the time of year. Smiley smile

    This is your wedding day, you can do whatever you want! I am having a DW in Florida in June and my main colors are black and white with an accent of peach. Of course I got a lot of strange responses when I told people I was doing black and white but I don't care. It's my day! And whatever you choose you will make it beautiful. Good luck!

    I would go with maroon it's the color you want and dead set in and no I will not look bad, colors don't have to be for a certain season or time of year Pick the colors you want after all it's your wedding. your rules and wishes.

    Also Maroon and June rhyme (kind of to me anyways). So that's a bonus. (;

    I did the same thing with the same color. You do you. I'm adding more pink and less navy to make my colors more springy.

    Maroon is a gorgeous color. If anyone says anything rude about it, tell them flowers that are maroon bloom in spring and summer too! (Such as dahlias, snapdragon, and Scabiosa--to name a few!) And if those flowers are in season, that means so are those colors lol. People are too hung up on that and they need to relax--they're just colors! You do you. Maroon is a gorgeous color and I'm sure it will look lovely. It's totally one of those things that can be thrown out the window when wedding planning. As long as your colors don't clash, your wedding will be beautiful!

    I'm doing the same color for my winter wedding, but I've seen it used in every season. I think you should just do whatever you want. If you're really concerned though, you can lighten the color scheme up by adding creams and very light pink to your bouquets and decor.
