Man manicure?

Is anybody's FH getting a manicure? My FH is a mechanic and his hands are dry, cracking, and grease black. Any suggestion? Or feedback.

Calloused, roughed up hands are actually one of my turn-ons, so I can't imagine why someone would want their FH to get a manicure... That would be a turn off for me. But if you would like it better, I don't think there's any harm in it. Whenever I get my nails done, there is a guy or two in there.

My brother is a diesel mechanic and he wore gloves at work for the months leading up to wedding.

Since you dont have that long left..i think a manicure is a good idea and tell him to wear gloves at work from now on!

Great ideal! Mine is a very handy man, always working on cars. He's hesitant to those types of things but when I surprised him with a facial and a foot massage he loved it! Maybe i will do the same with the mani and pedi. I work at a spa and ladies always surprise the men so that they cant decline beforehand.

Fiancé is a plumber and will be coming with me for a manicure AND a pedicure the Saturday before the wedding. And he's actually pretty excited about it. He hates that his nails are always all, "pirate like" as he says aka dirty and banged up

My husband was such a trooper before the wedding. He got an eyebrow, nose, and ear wax. He also came with my mom and I the day before and got a mani/pedi.

Yess!! My FH is begging for one for our wedding! He was a mechanic who went straight into the army so his fingers and nails have been atrocious for years.

I wouldn't mandate it or anything but def suggest him getting pampered like that before the day as well. My MOH's family is in the jewellery business so her dad has always gotten manicures and pedicures (no polish but that way his hands look presentable and since we all do martial arts, no gross feet in people's faces).

If he's interested/amenable to it the guys could make a day of it if they'd like. (ETA grammar)

Mine would never! He works construction and his hands are dry, cracked and stained black! I wish he would go.

O'Keefes works great! Definitely get him to start using it. Would also recommend he wear gloves (like latex but they also have industrial strength). Had a few friends that owned shops and they always wore them. Cuts down on the continuous greasy hand appearance.

My suggestion is to just set up an appointment for the two of you and go together. All men protest, but I have discovered that men actually love being pampered like this. They are just afraid to walk in to such a female zone.

FH has a chronic nail biting/cuticle gnawing habit. I've suggested a manicure to him so he can get his nail beds softened and get the rough edges filed away. He became more receptive to the idea after I mentioned the hand massage portion.

Put the man back in manicure!

Mine is because he knows we're probably going to have a bunch of pictures taken of our hands and the rings. He doesn't want his fingers to look all jacked up so he's doing a mani with me before the rehearsal dinner.
