Man manicure?

Brenda, on April 14, 2017 at 9:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 48

Is anybody's FH getting a manicure? My FH is a mechanic and his hands are dry, cracking, and grease black. Any suggestion? Or feedback.

I don't think my fiance is but I would love it if he did. He's also a mechanic and his hands are dry and cracked and grease stained. He says thats part of who he is and I'm trying to pick my battles

My DH didn't but I have guy friends who have had them and I think it is a great idea, especially for a man (or anyone!!) who works with their hands

ETA I've just remembered that for my sister's wedding she got a man-icure, she wanted her hands moisturized and her nails shaped but she doesn't like nail polish. It's really affordable too

My grandpa used to get them all the time because he was a sculptor and the clay dried out his hands. He'd either get now polish or clear polish depending on how dry his nails were Smiley smile

I never thought about him lmao ... I should give him a manicure myself for I think he'd be embarrassed to actually go get them done

My fiancé has come with me for manis and pedis. Every time I go I see multiple men in there, including athletes! Cam Newton goes to my nail place (after hours so he's not bombarded lol). Many businessmen get manicures.

My FH comes with me to get mani pedis once in a while. He's an electrician so his hands get torn up and look 100x better. I think he secretly likes it as much as he says he doesn't want to go.

My FH loves spa days with me. If you can somehow get him in there, I guarantee he'll love it.

Mine is going to get one. No clear polish, but he'll get the cuticles cleaned up and hands moisturized. He does a lot of yard work and dishes. He's never had one before, but he's had two pedicures with me over the years.

FH and I have gotten pedicures together. I think we may team mani-pedi before the wedding.

Didn't think about this but I'm sure my FH would love to do that. Some guys like to be pampered a little, depends on who it is.

My FH is thinking about a pedicure. I wish he would get a manicure. He is a welder and his hands are kind of stained yellow from his gloves lol

He is now!!! I didn't even think of this. FH went with me once to get a mani pedi and liked it. He, too, has really dirty hands. I'd say this is a must. Thanks for posting!

Lmao. My FH can't stand me filing his nails. He clips them but never seems to get the sharp edges so I want to file them. He hides his hands now from me.

My FH gets manis and pedis every other month - he's been doing that since before we met.

Can't be with someone who is going to cut up my expensive bed sheets.

My fiance comes with me for manicures and/or pedicures and really enjoys it. (He doesn't go every time I do, but maybe every 2-3 times.) He works in the auto industry and has a ton of tattoos, so not the type you'd expect to see in the salon. He doesn't get any kind of polish, but has fast growing nails so appreciates the attention. He actually tells me when he's in need of a pedi! Last week, he took his 17-year old son for a mani since the son refuses to cut his nails short enough or file the jagged edges.

Look into O'Keefe's Working Hands Cream. I've heard it works miracles. I have their chapstick and it's amazing, so I can only imagine how great the hand cream is! It'd probably be a good pre-pedicure routine or even just an option if your FH isn't too crazy about the idea of getting a manicure.

A thick coat of bag balm with a pair of white cotton gardening gloves will lift the grease off as well as soften up the hands and you can get it at the drugstore. I am oily skinned but my hands take a beating from being in nitrile gloves 90% of my work day

FH is super excited about getting a manicure before our wedding! He is thinking about getting a facial too. I think it will be a great bonding experience
