I believe that smells can put you in a mood....so I plan to store my invites in an air tight box with gardenia scented candles so when my guest receive them they have a nice sweet smell. But FH thinks gardenias smell old and I should do something more on a lemongrass type of scent. So I need advise...

Thats a great idea. But i know I have some nasal allergies to flowers but I LOVE flower scents roses, jasmine and lavender scents are my favorites. Its up to you. I think its a great idea. As said above some people could have serious reactions. It just causes me to sneeze but thats not enough for me to not enjoy the smells I just take my claritin LOL

I think vanilla would be a fairly safe option.

As long as my invite doesn't smell you can do whatever smells nice to you Smiley smile I can't handle most scents.

My father is deathly allergic to the smell of coconut and I have never met anyone else like that. An air freshener or a hand soap smelling of coconut can trigger it. So it would be hard to blanket say - vanilla is safe and floral is not. You just have no clue what triggers people. My pregnant sister can't stand any smells. So there are a few things to think about when adding scent.

The smell of vanilla makes people hungry. Just thought I'd share. Haha
