Hello everyone! I need some help. My friend who sells SeneGence is doing my makeup. My colors for the wedding are plum and lavender. Originally, I was going to wearing a bolder eyeshadow look playing on the purple hues with a more subdued lip. However, I'm playing around with my lip colors and I'm really struggling to find something I like that works well with my eye look. I usually am a bolder lip girl and was wondering if a berry lip is too dark for a wedding? If I did this I would make my eye look more natural to balance it. Is anyone having similar wedding colors and what are you doing for your makeup?

First I just want to say that color combination sounds beautiful! And second, do you have any inspiration pictures for either look? I don't think a berry lip would be too dark, unless it were like a brunch wedding or something, but regardless, if you feel more confident, go for the darker lip color!

Alexis, we are having a 2:30pm Chapel wedding with a dinner and dance reception to follow. I have put some pics below of both looks. The last one is the specific lip color that I'm thinking about for the dark lip. The neutral lip colors, I'm mixing together a couple of different lipsense colors to get those, so I don't have pics of those. Thoughts?!

Honestly, I think the neutral eye/bold lip combo is stunning. I'm super picky about neutral lip colors, too, so I definitely get the struggle. I'm not sure about you, but I personally don't like anything too pale or too pinkish. Has to be riiiight in the middle... like basically just putting on a color identical to the natural color of your lips so they don't disappear just haha.

Maybe something like this?

Or this one for a more neutral/less pink tone? Let me know what you think!

I'm really leaning toward the bold lip neutral eye. I'm soooo picky about my neutrals hahaha! I like these neutral lip colors but I think my lips will just disappear in the photos and this is what I wear day to day for work. So, I want something a little different.
