Makeup & Hair

Im having someone do my hair, just to make my life easier and make sure the curl holds and pins stay in place, etc. But Im doing my own makeup. Its a very relaxing process for me, and of all the weddings I've been a part of I felt the most beautiful when I did my own makeup.

My bridal party did each other’s make up, but we had our hair professionally done.

I did the makeup for my mom and sisters for my brother's wedding and I loved it. If I had the time I would totally do all my bridesmaid's makeup too.

I am having mine professionally done, but I also am not confident in my everyday make up skills at all, let alone make up that has to be photographed! If I were though, I would probably just do my own- it’d save a ton of money and I’d know for sure I looked the way I wanted to.

View Quoted Comment If you’re in California there’s this company call glamouronthego they travel to your location. I don’t know price details but their work is so beautiful 🤩 they have Instagram page with that same name.

View Quoted Comment I would 100% recommend her, however she doesn’t typically take on doing makeup at weddings. She is a makeup artist for national TV shows and big name movies. She is a longtime friend of mine and is doing me a huge favor by taking on my wedding. I would suggest researching makeup artists in your area, checking out their portfolios and their Instagram pages. Look through not only their photos on Instagram, but also all the photos their clients have tagged them in. And make sure you check out as many reviews as you can.

I’m having mine done professionally. I did my makeup for my engagement photos and was very happy with it, but I honestly don’t want to be doing any work the day of!

Yeah same...I was going to do it myself but decided to just go to Hair Cuttery and have them do it because #1 I'm terrible at doing my own hair and #2 the pampering of having someone else do it is nice.

I'm always in favor of getting your hair and makeup done, if it's in your budget!!! It's so nice to not have to worry about doing it and it's great getting pampered a little on your wedding day.

I’m getting it done professionally because I have no skills in either of those areas. Also it’s a perfect occasion to be pampered. They will be servicing the bridesmaids as well.
