Makeup Artist Pricing?

$65 for me. $55 for my girls.

MU is $65 and hair is $70 for BMs, $100 for me. I'm paying for both for my BMs

$65 for make up $65 for hair $120 for both

So it wouldn't be in poor taste for me to not pay for the girls since I'm not wanting them to look a certain way? I don't care if they do it themselves or not. I just kind of assumed if they wanted it done, I'd need to pay for it

Hair: $90 bride ( BMs are $90 for updo, possibly less if they want something else.)

Makeup: $95 bride (BMs are the same, airbrush = add $15, lashes = add $15)

Makeup trial is free and hair trial is $75.

I am not requiring hair or makeup for my BMs... if they want to, they cover the bill. My day-of hair and makeup will be under $200 (not including tips) I am in the tri state area - (southern New Jersey, by the beach)... about an hour south of Philadelphia

@OP, if you require a specific hairstyle or makeup look, OR if you *require* them to get their hair and makeup professionally done, you pay.

If it's an optional thing (meaning, you are having H&MU artists come to your getting-ready spot and anyone who wants to, can get their H&MU done, then no, they pay.

I sent an email to my girls and it included something to this effect:

Hair & Makeup (absolutely NOT required!) - there will be H&MU on site while we get ready - you are absolutely NOT required to get your hair or makeup professionally done. However, if you would like to (and you can have your hair or makeup done however you would like) these are the prices: XXXXXXXXXX. If you decide to get H&MU done, please let me know by x date, so I can reserve the appropriate number of artists and make a schedule.

In CT I've found it's about $150 for the bride and $75-$100 for everyone else. I'm seriously considering a very nice salon at a local cosmetology school. I'm going to do trials (engagement photo day, other weddings I'm attending, etc.) because it is so cheap. I'm talking like $50-$75 per person for hair AND makeup! I've had haircuts at cosmetology schools before and they always come out great.

I'm in the Tampa area.

For me, hair and make up was $125 (and $90 for trial). For my BMs, it was $110 for both. This included false eyelashes and airbrush for everyone. I asked my girls if they wanted it done and they all said yes. Even though I wasn't requiring any certain style/look, I chipped in $50 for each BM.

ETA: @Jamie-Leigh to answer your question about why brides cost more. They will do a good job on your BMs. But they will make sure (or should) that the brides makeup/hair looks perfect!! You will be the one photographed the most so the HMUA spends the most time with you.

I live in a small town so hair is 30ish and I chewed down mua to 75 for all 5 of us (me + 4 bms). Kinda excited about it now!

My hair and makeup is $180. It's $65 for makeup (airbrush) and $65 for updo for my bridal party. I'm going to pay for everyone's makeup.

My MUA is $80 for makeup and $60 for hair

My airbrush makeup is $80 and same for the bridesmaids. I am paying for both since I'd like their makeup professionally done.

I'm paying my MUA $160 for airbrush, that includes my trial and the day-of.

My artist charged $60 for me and $40 for my BMs

As a bridesmaid, mine was $100 for hair and $70 for makeup. I was mildly irritated by the makeup artists price because ended up having a severe reaction to her products and I had to bring my own personal makeup the day of because of my allergies and all she did was apply it...

I'm paying $150 for my make up and $200 for my hair. I'm paying for my bridesmaids make up only which is $75 each. I'm in Chicago

MUA $120 for me $75 for the girls. A travel fee of $80. I'm in Boston. I didn't expect make up to be so expensive. One of my bridesmaid is a pro MUA and she broke down everything they do so I understand the why its expensive.
