Makeup Artist for Bridal party?

Yes, my makeup artist is doing my BM's and mom's makeup and yes, I am paying for it.

I'm doing my own makeup and hair. And my bridal party is doing their own. It's better for everyone that way and we're all happy with it.

I asked each of my girls if they wanted hair and makeup and let them know that they could DIY if they wanted. Most asked me to book a professional for them and they are paying for it themselves.

Yes and yes for me personally, but this is not required. If you are requiring your BMs to get their hair and makeup done, you need to pay for it. If you just give them the option and they decide whether they want it or not, you don't have to pay.

I do not believe you have to pay for it. A lot of brides do as a thank you to their BP. Every time I've been a bridesmaid I've paid for my own hair and makeup.

I only have MOH, and my mom is paying for both of our hair and makeup. FSIL is also getting her hair and make up done (it's her hair/makeup artist we're using) and she's paying for her own.

If you require a certain look, you should pay for hair and makeup. If they can do whatever, it's your choice if you want to pay or not. I'm paying for all of mine, (eta: and mom, fmil, and grandmother) but that's something that's important to me to do for them as part of them being my bridesmaids. My hair and makeup artist is doing theirs, along with one or 2 other artists for timing reasons.

I took a head count of which of my bridesmaids wanted their hair or make up done. 3 of them are getting their hair done, and I only offered to pay for my MOH hair. I have been a bridesmaid in 2 other weddings, and we had to pay for our own hair or make up if we wanted it, and I liked that thought of the freedom we had to do our own however we wanted.

My MOH and bridesmaids all wear different hairstyles! I'm ONLY paying for makeup! Luckily my stylist does hair and makeup VERY well! They all agreed to have their makeup done.. get their hair done themselves

I am a pro MUA and I have brides who gift it to thier bridesmaids. Other brides let thier girls know about it as an option. If you're concerned about the makeup looking complimentary on everyone, splurge on it and you'll be happier with the photos in the future.
