Mailing invitations

I realize this might be a dumb question, not sure lol. How did everyone mail their invites out? We have ours stamped and ready to go (YAY) - just wondering if it’s better to drop them in a box or take them directly to the post office and drop them off at the counter. What did you all do?? ☺️

We took them to the post office and hand cancelled them ourselves then handed them over. We didn't want to drop them in a box outside in case it rained or something.

We specifically dropped ours off at the post office box inside the building. There was a rash of mail theft in our area around that time. It gave us a piece of mind.

Thanks ladies!! I dropped mine off at the counter that way I knew they were where they needed to be and not getting damaged hopefully 🙄 thanks for your responses 🖤

I'd take them to the post office. Wedding invites are often quite thick, and they may jam the machine, or get wrecked in the process. Most of the invitation companies have recommended that you take them to the office and have them hand canceled. I know this can be a PITA for the poor postal worker, but in the end, your guests receive the invites and they look nice, rather than mangled.
