Maid of Honor waiting until 2 weeks before the wedding to start looking for her dress!

I told my MOH and bridesmaids they could pick out whichever style of dress they like as long as it’s the burgundy color I picked. I feel like this was a mistake because my wedding is a month and a half away and no one has a dress yet. To top it off I just suggested they should start looking at dresses, and my MOH informed me she doesn’t plan to start looking for dresses until 2 weeks before the wedding. (Because of financial reasons.) I’m trying not to panic, but two weeks before the wedding with no dress??! I feel like she’s going to end up at Ross!

If she finds a burgundy dress, does it really matter where it comes from? I wouldn't stress myself out over it. You gave guidelines, they know when they need the dress by. There's nothing else that you can do. If she doesn't show up with a dress that meets the criteria you provided, she can sit as a guest.

Oh girl I know this all too well. I let mine choose their own too. One didn't even get hers til three days before my wedding. AND it needed alterations

I would try not to panic, I know it sucks but she will find one! Especially with Amazon, there are a ton of options!

Agree with pp's. You gave them freedom, so dont micromanage. They know what they need to get so trust them to do it

I was a maid of honor before & I got my dress like 1 week before the wedding. I really went to David’s for a “apple” color dress (it could be any dress), found one in my size & in stock & then took it to the cleaners to get hemmed. I actually got lots of compliments on the dress.

You chose your MOH for a reason.. Trust that she will do what needs to be done and she will be an adult about it. You have enough stress already with the things that you need to do.
Don't add unnecessary stress to an already stressful time

Worse case scenario, she doesn’t find a dress in the right color in time for your wedding. So what? She’s your MOH because of your relationship, not because of her wardrobe. Having her stand by your side is much more important than what she’ll be wearing. I’m sure she’ll pull through but just try to keep things in perspective. Don’t stress the things you can’t control.
