So firstly thank you for reading, as you can see by the title this is not a pretty story. When I first started planning my wedding I chose 2 maid of honors..yeah I know bad idea but I can't choose favorites. So I told both of them to keep in mind the themes of my wedding, one of them being stay...

So firstly thank you for reading, as you can see by the title this is not a pretty story. When I first started planning my wedding I chose 2 maid of honors..yeah I know bad idea but I can't choose favorites. So I told both of them to keep in mind the themes of my wedding, one of them being stay cheap! Now a few months down the road I am just now finding out that my bridal party is freaking out over the fact that one of my bridesmaids has planned almost everything which is also costing them HUNDREDS of dollars! Yay me. So now on the 8th we are going dress shopping and all week I have been trying to talk to this maid of honor but she won't meet up with me. Is it too inappropriate to send her a text or should I talk to her in person? What should I even say? Help me please! Sincerely a super annoyed bride who shouldn't have to deal with this drama because everyone is a damn adult and they should be able to plan on their own!!

Okay sorry for the confusion, one of the 2 MOHs planned the bachelorette party which is now a full expensive weekend without making sure that the cost of everything was okay with the rest of the bridal party. Another example is that she wants everyone to spend $200 on matching track suits. That's absolutely ridiculous in my opinion! What I meant by the theme being cheap was that this whole wedding is supposed to be affordable. Which includes the bachelorette party. Hope this helps.

    No is a complete sentence.

I wouldn't get involved in this. The other girls need to tell her that what she's planning is too expensive, and they can either plan something that everyone can afford or decline to attend.

You shouldn't be involved. You can say something?to your MOH but the other bridesmaids need to be adults and speak up when they can't afford or do something.

You really just need to stay out of it.

Tell her what you told us. Then have her speak to your wedding party and determine an appropriate budget for these parties. Also try to talk her out of the matching track suits especially if they will only be used for one day/weekend.

Matching tracksuits?! Is this a wedding related party or a cross country meet?

I would definitely be opting out of the matching tracksuits and tell MOH that wasn't happening for me as a BM. I don't wear tracksutis anyways and especially not for $200. For the weekend, if I couldn't afford it, I would just tell her I couldn't go and would plan something separately to do with the bride, but I agree that the BM's need to speak up that it is too expensive for them.

Talk to her or the other MOH to reiterate your desire for everything to be affordable for the BP. Thank her/them for the planning they've done thus far and that you want them to be conscious of pricing. Also talk to other BMs and tell them to communicate their budget and that you're main concern is that they enjoy the experience as your BM. Shoot..say that to your MOHs too so that they/the 1 with the expensive taste won't be as stressed. Good luck.

This is your MOH's fault and you need to stay out of it. The other bridesmaids need to speak up if things are out of their budget. I highly doubt she just said "ok guys here's the plan for Jade's bachelorette weekend, now everyone send me $2k!" When my girls planned mine they sent out lots of emails (I wasn't on them, I was told) discussing budgets and had firm numbers in place that people either agreed to or declined to attend.

$200 for a track suit is ridiculous and no way would I spend that money on something like that!
