Lots of my relatives are telling me we should've booked the day in February, like 02/02/2020 or 02/20/2020, since it looks magical. I personally start being upset about us not doing it, too, even though I know it shouldn't be taken that seriously. Still, I remember the fuss about 11/11/11 and I was interested whether there are any couples married on that day? Or maybe someone's happy day will be 02/02/2020 or 02/20/2020? How do you feel about it? Was it on purpose or just a coincidence?

I picked 3/14/20 because it was off season but more Spring than winter and a few other practical reasons. I mention the date to my FH and he says immediately “Oooooo Pi day, I won’t forget that!” Never occurred to me! Lol

I felt the same for a little while, but then I realized how many people were getting married on dates like that. Our date already feels special to us, and I haven't seen that many date twins on here. A date is a date I guess, what makes a date special is your and your FH.

I think it would have been fun to do that, but it's just one day, like next year is 2021 and so its already no longer a magic day. I say do what date works best for you and FH and if it happens to be a "magic day" then great, but regardless it should be a date/ time of year you're happy with.

I'm learning to smile at people's comments and then move on. I originally wanted 10/10/2020 but scheduling made that an impossibility. We settled on 05/22/2021 which is a Saturday but several people have asked why we don't do 05/21/2021 because it "sounds cooler." Friday doesn't seem like a safe option so we're sticking with our date. I've settled that it will be a cool and special and magic date simply because it is our wedding date.
