Madison Area Late August 2019 Weddings

Hey all, I was looking at hotels for my wedding which is on 8/25/19 and found out that there is a gigantic medical technology conference in the Madison area that has booked almost all the hotels in the area(all the way to the Dells, in fact) for the last week in August(I think). I figured that I should give a warning to other couples who are planning a late August wedding in 2019 so that you can watch out for this. We'll probably have to move our date to earlier in the summer and I'm so thankful I thought to start looking at hotel rooms now instead of putting it off until later.

We managed to move it to August 11th. It’s going to be a bit crunchier getting the last details dealt with as I graduate in May, but about 75% of our guest list is OOT, so it’s definitely necessary to have as many hotel rooms available as possible. I imagine it wouldn’t be as big a deal if we had more guests who didn’t have to travel. Thankfully, we haven’t sent out anything with a date on it yet, so that’s saved us quite a bit.
