Felicia, on December 19, 2013 at 3:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

What are some good ideas for decorations, games, good and attire for this theme? Anything we could do that's really unique?

You could scour the goodwill and other thrift shops for teacups and saucers and other china patterns. They could be for guests to use, or you could stack a few and glue them together for centerpieces!

    ^^^What Mrs. Drakhal said and

Write in the invitations that everyone must wear a hat to attend (give a prize to the silliest, prettiest, biggest, ect.)

Try to have it outside. Decorate with dark purple and bright, light green.

Maybe use some little bottles (with "Drink Me" tags) and petit fours that say "Eat me".

My renewal reception is Mad Hatter. Check out pinterest and etsy and lots of bright colors or vintage depending on your preference. Nothing must match! sugar musk be in cube or rock form and no tea bags, loose leaf or blooming tea shows sophistication. If you are going bright colored use grass as your runner. Pastry and biscuits (cookies) are a must and tea sandwiches are a must. Don't forget a pocket watch or 2 in the décor and tea diffusers are great gifts. Big hats will be fun

Tea diffusers are awesome favor ideas. They sell them on a lot of wedding sites like the knot wedding shop.

I think checkerboard, lots of colors, playing cards, pocket watches and whimsical flowers will add to the theme.

I would also have little hats for everyone to wear.

These are all awesome ideas! I do have a Pinterest account and already created a board to gather ideas. If anyone wants to follow it here is the link to my board and also a link the my account. I love Pinterest! It's where I got a ton of wedding ideas.

So far I know we will get random tea cups from thrift stores, antique stores and dollar stores. We haven't really decided on colors yet. Since my MOH is planning it I want her to have all the creative room she wants. I'm a designer so I get carried away sometimes (our wedding is Neverland themed). I also do know of this etsy site that creates custome mini mad hatter hats. I'm definitely getting a white and am going to surprise my MOH and get her one to match her dress here is a link to the one I like best.

@MissMadeline that's a great link. I read through it and they had an awesome idea of stacking the tea cups and saucers and using glue to keep them together! They used super glue I might try hot glue too. But that will make for excellent decor. I think I might look for a bunch of random clocks. I also have the stuffed cat from the movie do that's a must! What are some fun games? What do you do at a bridal shower?

We had an Alice in Wonderland party. Everyone had to wear a hat...some of us made ours. You can serve tea, finger foods, and sandwiches. Soup would be good too. I would look at good will or thrift stores for tea cups and pots.
