Lull in planning

Futuremrsm, on June 27, 2019 at 10:16 AM Posted in Planning 1 8
Anyone else in a lull of planning? My wedding isnt until october 2020 and I don't have anything to do! Venue, photographer, dj and officiant are already booked. Florist and cake are through the venue. And its too early to do the stuff thats left! Ive really been enjoying the planning but I'm really excited and just want it to be closer! Anyone else in this boat?

Ah I remember I was sort of like that during my planning. I actually took a break from planning for months after I finished those large things. Sometimes it just feels nice to not be consumed by wedding planning ya know?

I totally know how you feel! Luckily I am about to send invites for my Nov wedding so the lull will be over soon!

I got through it by making lists of things that still needed doing, lists of what needed to go in a box to bring to the ceremony, lists of what I needed to pack, etc.

Oh and shopping for things like your guestbook and wedding bands!

I'm Oct 2020 also! I'm in a lull of actual planning too which is leaving me to obsess over random small details haha. For some reason the first dance has been bugging me lately and I am trying to pick a song and decide if we want lessons or not.

Enjoy the break. Look at pinterest, to further develop ideas and start scoping the craft stores for sales. I took a couple months off of planning and it was nice not to be entirely focused on it. But, I did learn when craft stores had sales to stock up on my crafts that I was going to do for decor.

We got engaged in Feb. 2018, and are getting married in April 2020! I know exactly how you feel! Around last summer all the big stuff (besides dress, which I held off until February of this year) were done. I began to research the small stuff so it would be less stressful when the time comes! Just dream of your day and it'll get closer before you know it!

Yes, I'm in that same boat right now. Booked venue, DJ, photographer, HMUA. We had our engagement photo session, got the pictures back, designed our STDs and have received those. I'm just waiting until August to send those out. I have already designed our wedding invitations, and just have them saved--waiting for the right sale to purchase! Right now, waiting is the name of the game. So frustrating! I'm a planner, so I want to plan, plan, plan!! Give me something to do!!

October 2020 bride here! I feel your pain, girl. I've booked everything that I can, and now I'm working on the bubbles as we speak. Lol. *sigh* I feel like there's SO much to do, but I can't figure out WHAT there is to do. If you figure it out, let a girl know! Smiley smile
