Low cost/laid back rehearsal dinner idea

My sister is getting married in early June in Cape May, NJ. They are planning a very laid back, relaxed, beach themed wedding and will be saying their vows barefoot on the beach. Due to a multitude of factors, covid being a big one, money has started to become an issue and although the wedding itself is paid off they are worried about being able to do some form of rehearsal dinner. I am looking for ideas and suggestions for something that fits the whole theme of the wedding, is very laid back and fun and is on the cost efficient side. I know Cape May is not cheap but I know they wouldn't want to go to a fancy restaurant anyway so I am looking for out of the box suggestions. Thank you!!!

Maybe pizza? That is relatively cheap. Or seeing If there are any buffets

Pizza is probably the cheapest option. Also, you only need to host a rehearsal dinner if you are having a rehearsal. People can usually figure out how to walk in a straight line, so they can also skip the whole thing all together.

Can you host the rehearsal dinner at someone’s house? Or where the bridal party or families are staying for the wedding? If so I’d do pizza and wine & beer! Just keep it casual with some cheap and yummy food. You could do a big pasta buffet or a low country boil!
