Love/hate Bridal Party gifts... Let's update this list!

The best advice I've found in shopping for bridal party gifts is to shop like it's their birthday (personal gifts) and avoid anything with the words "bridesmaid", "maid of honor", "bride tribe", etc.

I hate personally hated getting a cheap $5 satin floral robe (donated immediately) and a jeweled watch that was WAY too big and way too flashy for me (also donated). I loved getting a really nice quality cotton waffle robe, a pair of fuzzy comfy socks, nice candles, sweet cards or letters, or bottles of champagne.

What do you think of an aftercare box for a BM gift... This is what I mean... I'm picturing after the wedding needing a little rest and relaxation. So, lip balm (for all that smiling), bath/body care (for the aches and pains of being on their feet), vitamin E socks for their feet, a hoodie (gray) to chill in... Maybe some chocolate (their favorite treat) and a mini bottle of wine? Or would just 1 good gift would be better?

I think your idea of personalizing by providing a favorite treat or flavor is a good idea, much better than a "personalized" gift that is really just the same as others but with your name on it.
I think maybe getting the hoodie and socks in their favorite color? And the beauty products in their favorite scents?

I stayed away from the robes, pjs, and matching shirts because my girls told me they wouldn't ever wear them again so their honesty was appreciated and saved me lots of money. I went with tumblers with their names laser engraved, face masks, hair ties that matched my colors, EOS lip balm, and nail polish that also matched my colors and my girls loved it!

I’m going to buy my bridesmaids the perfume that I wear the day of and a bottle of champagne!

It sounds a little "cheap" but one of the things I'm going to include in my little bridesmaids gifts (we all know that we're broke in my group, so no one is expecting anything huge), is a handwritten note thanking each bridesmaid. Just something personal and sweet that will hopefully make them realize how much I appreciate everything they've done!

I'm doing their shoes for the day (they're slippers so they can wear them even after the ceremony around the house), jewelry for the day, a small candle, and then probably a chocolate bar!

Looking at what you had listed, I personally would love it if I received chocolate, lotion, and fuzzy socks!
