Lost so much weight the ring doesn't fit!

My FH bought my E-ring based off a ring I used to wear (on my middle finger, but he thought he went down a size he says) and he had it for over a year before proposing during which time I lost 60+ pounds so it was HUGE on me. I was so sad I couldn’t wear it immediately, but so afraid I would loose it. We took it to get sized and were told 3 weeks, which came and went with no response so I called around four weeks and was told it would be rushed THAT day for pick up the following day. When they didn’t call to confirm it was ready for pick up I called again and was given the run around. They called my FH to tell him it wouldn’t be ready. They ended up breaking it and couldn’t get the side stones to stay in because they had to decrease the size so much, so they had to remake it and quoted him 6-8 additional weeks after we already waited 4. My FH ended up taking care of it because I was pissed that they waited until I called to even do anything in the first place and they should have known and told us they couldn’t go down 2 full sizes. They ended up getting us a replacement within a week after FH spoke with them.

My engagement ring is too big now. It's annoying. I just don't want to part with it to get it sized again
