I still can't believe it but it's true, I lost my engagement ring! I have no idea where it went because I NEVER take it off (not even in the shower) and it just disappeared from my finger =( We looked EVERYWHERE including down the drains at my house. My question now is where can I buy a cubic...

I still can't believe it but it's true, I lost my engagement ring! I have no idea where it went because I NEVER take it off (not even in the shower) and it just disappeared from my finger =( We looked EVERYWHERE including down the drains at my house.

My question now is where can I buy a cubic zirconia ring in the Los Angeles area? Anyone know where I can get something nice for a reasonable price? I'm going to DTLA jewelry district this weekend.

Thanks!

Ps. If you haven't insured your ring yet... DO IT NOW!!!

Try talking to the jewelry you purchased it at, if you have any relationship with them they maybe give you a good deal or they may be able to help you find a new ring or match your old ring with CZ as the center stone. I take my ring off all the time as it is too loose and fell off a couple time, even after getting sized. If you have a pet you should see if they ate it, if not check your bed, mine fell off while sleeping once it ended between boxspring and wall but not on the floor.

I have been investigating like it's a homicide! I did lose weight but not enough to have it slip off =( It feels as if I was abducted in the middle of the night by aliens or took it off sleep walking!

Fiance has been so so understanding. Probably because I was crying for days as if someone had died. He kept saying, "it's replaceable it's okay" because I couldn't get over it. His parents have been AWESOME and came over every day to help me look. Even bought a drain camera and wet vacuum to suck up the water (and hairs yuck) from the shower drains....

    But it's gone.

So life goes on I need to buy a cheap knock off until we can afford a new one.

Look how gorgeous it was though =( WAAAAGHHHH!!!!!

I would suggest the same setting and maybe a CZ and then upgrade later!

I just insured mine last week because it slipped off in the garbage can at work when I threw away the paper towels I used to dry my hands! I got half way down the hall before I noticed and I ripped that bag out of the can and dumped everything on the floor! Hey... It's an heirloom ring....

My mom had her wedding ring stolen after 25 years of marriage. She was devistated. My dad ended up buying her a new ring that day. For her 25 years of history was gone, but her new ring symbolized their future love. I am so glad your FH is being understanding and caring about the situation.

Really. It's okay. It's replaceable. Just go to a jeweller, find a setting you'd like to have a diamond in one day. and have them put a CZ in it for now. Really, it's okay.

I'm really sorry, I hope you find it. Just a random idea for other brides...I had my ring sized to behind my knuckle rather than a size that easily slips on and off. I'm terrified of losing it and this way I know there is no chance of it flying off. Try thinking back to the last time you saw it and work forward. I lose all kinds of things between my bed and headboard. A mystery little hole that takes all...

Are you sure that it was lost inside the house? would a metal detector help? my mom lost the diamond in her engament ring when I was a baby and there was drywall dust all over the place. she found it while sweeping up the dust one day-

    hope you find it!

I took mine off once because I was dipping fish in a wet batter. I put my rib on te counter. Came back later and it was gone! Cats must have played with it. I cried and searched the whole house. Didn't sleep a lick that night. I was determined one of the cats ate it. Around 5am I turned and the video function on my camera and stuck my camera down the AC vent. Sure enough there was my ring! Sucked it out with a shop vac.

I've seen where you can take an old Panty Hose or something similar, slip it over a shop vacation tube and vacuum up small thing without it going INTO the vaccum. Maybe try that everywhere and see if it pops up??

@Kassie that's a great idea, I'll bet it's somewhere hidden where you can't see!! I hope it turns up. Yes, it's just a ring, and no, it isn't the end of the world, but we all know how much sentimental value our rings have to us!! Try to clear your head and start the search when you're fresh this morning! Good luck, sending good vibes your way!! ?

@L&G - that seems like a lot! I'm sure that the rider premium is dependent on what the ring is worth. But I actually insured my engagement ring and my wedding band and my husband's ring for about $20 a year. Total value between them is roughly $5000. I've had my renters insurance since 07 and never had a claim though so maybe that has something to do with it?

Wow, I hope you find it. My FH snuck Into the kitchen and stole my E Ring while I was washing dishes. He thought that it would be funny but then forgot after a few minutes. He remembered when I was about to start kicking the plumbing apart. It's been months since then and I'm still mad. I can't imagine how you feel right now. I'm sorry.
