Is anyone getting married at Nestldown this year? How are you working with all of their vendor rules? Flower girls, guests & drinking, "pukage" fee, etc.?

They have 40 fantastic reviews on WeddingWire, so it seems they are excellent to work with despite their rules. What are some of the rules you're finding challenging?

Hi! They just have 2 lists. Preferred vendors, required vendors. Unfortunately the required vendors are caterers, djs, and transportation. Which they all charge a lot, mainly I think because of where the venue is. Other rules like if someone gets sick on the property, it’s $500 per incident, loss children which I can understand, is $150/loss child, flower girls if they want to toss petals, there’s a clean up fee, no shots which again I understand because it’s right off of 17.

They are amazing! Don’t get me wrong. And my fiancé and I are so ecstatic to be getting married there. It’s just, there’s some places where I feel I could’ve saved money.

Petal clean up, no shots, and a required list for caterers and DJs are fairly common practice. I'm totally confused as to why transportation would be on a required list though! Have you talked to the venue about whether they are ever flexible if you have price concerns?

I mean what's done is done. We've got all of our vendors. I was just venting about it.
