Looking for my tribe... small, non-traditional, small budget weddings.

I feel so out of place in most of these forums. I'm looking for my tribe to discuss planning ideas. I'm not so concerned about typical wedding things or what the majority considers the right way to do things. I feel like you know your own friends and family and my what is acceptable in your circle....
I feel so out of place in most of these forums. I'm looking for my tribe to discuss planning ideas. I'm not so concerned about typical wedding things or what the majority considers the right way to do things. I feel like you know your own friends and family and my what is acceptable in your circle. This is a second marriage. We're in our 40s. We're planning something small, outdoors, with Pagan elements... Less than 50 guests... extremely small budget.


Anyone in the same mindset and want to share ideas? Feel free to say hello!

    We've been quiet for a while, but we're still good and still planning. We just don't really have much to plan this far out. We started collecting candle holders for our reception tables and are talking attire.

    The plan for the moment is that whatever happens we will get married in 2023. I'm definitely not pushing it out until 2024. I have a venue in mind. It's a historical building with stone walls, private restrooms, kitchen, tables and chairs and you can book it for a whole weekend for under $200. The building has heat and ceiling fans but no a/c so if we went with that option we would be planning for October probably or a cooler month.

    Uh I just canceled our trip to Bermuda so that’s over with. I got an email today that said we only had until February 15th to cancel to get a full refund and that was for dates from April 2022 and out which doesn’t seem good. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    We talked today about having our wedding in our backyard. We were already going to be having a small rustic wedding so we might just go that route. (And I instantly thought of this cake.)😊

    We had a productive weekend here! We have a date and a place!! I ordered a shrug from David's Bridal and we ordered our save-the-dates from the knot. Smiley laugh

    Me! I'm 37. Having like 22 people including myself and fiance...and I did everything for $3,000. Definitely feel a touch out of place here but it's fun to see what other people are doing for their weddings and both get and pass along advice.
