Looking for June honeymoon destination

Melanie, on January 12, 2020 at 7:34 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 3

Looking for advice about where to have our late June honeymoon. We have 5-7 days, and we're looking for something relaxing with the option of beach but not only beach. We want good food, interesting sights, culture, sunny weather, and a laid-back vibe. We’ve been to and loved Portugal and Costa Rica. We were originally thinking Italy, maybe Amalfi Coast, but then read that it was hectic and crowded and might not be as relaxing as we want. Now we're considering Barcelona, maybe with a few days in Valencia. Which would you recommend? Also open to other places.

Hey there, Melanie! Here are some beautiful destination suggestions - The Best Honeymoon Destinations in June. Punta Mita or Aruba could be what you’re looking for! Have you been to either before?

Barcelona is a fun city but the beach isn't particularly nice. I recommend Greece! Specifically, one of the less touristy islands that still has an airport...like Paros or Milos! The food and wine is amazing (and crazy cheap). There's usually affordable flights from Athens and you could stop there for a night and see some of the cultural sites. There are lots of cute towns to explore and beaches with very few people on them. Also, there are far fewer people in Greece in June than in July and August. I also loved Portugal and the less touristy islands in Greece have a similar vibe in my view. Also, if you want help planning, I used a company called Honeycrafted for mine (www.honeycrafted.com) and they have been amazing (they are good at finding more off the beaten path locations if you don't want something too crowded).
