@Kadi - Have you tried getting 'recommended' vendors right here within your account on WeddingWire?? Based on your answers to a few questions (budget, number of people, location, etc.), the system will automatically populate a list of possibilities that will fit your needs.

    To start:

-Go to 'My Wedding' and click 'My Vendors'

    -Click the 'Recommended Vendors' tab

This should help you get a better idea of your options! You can also search directly from our homepage at www.weddingwire.com for 'Venue' vendors in your area.

    Good luck! Smiley smile

    Try Curtis Arboretum in Cheltenham.

Kadi - Check with your favorite restaurants. Many in Philly will book as a private party for small weddings.

Philadelphia Magic Gardens is where my ceremony was held, we are planning for a reception in April at Awbury Arboretum and I happen to think that Awbury is an awesome venue to host an intimate event...if you have the funds, Morris Arboretum is more reputable but definitely higher end and their caterers may not do small weddings. Good Luck!!

I'm getting married in May at the Valley Green Inn. We'll have about 80 people.

My first wedding was about that size, and I had it in the King George II Inn in Bristol, PA.

I'm getting married at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, Pa. It's so charming and intimate with the stone and brick. It even has several fireplaces. My favorite part though is the balcony. It's about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. I found it through http://partyspace.com/philadelphia/wedding-venues. So even if Aldie's not the right place for you, there are so many other venues profiled on here. Smiley smile There's an arboretum and an arts center listed too.

Try bella tori manson in langhorne pa. Its small, they have an outdoor space if thats what youre looking for. Open bar included in total cost of either buffet or sit down. Eric is the planner and is very friendly and will work with you.

Have you looked on Partyspace yet? They let you narrow down the search based on number of guests, location, availability of date, price and style of wedding. There are a ton of local venues on there, and it's a really direct way to create a realistic list. I found it super useful, because it eliminated all the possibilities which weren't applicable right away and had reviews and pictures right on the site. It's how I found my venue (Swedish Museum)- and was actually one of the only wedding sites which featured it! I did a quick search for 75 people and there are a ton of beautiful, intimate settings nearby for you to choose from!
