Looking for a makeup artist that uses BareMinerals Products

Mrs_Young, on April 12, 2016 at 12:55 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I am a regular user of BareMinerals products and for my wedding day, I would love to have a professional makeup artist use BareMinerals, however I really do not know of any artist in the Northwest Indiana/ Chicagoland area that uses those products. The pic below is of me wearing BareMinerals as a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding. Does anyone know of any makeup artist who does bridal makeup with BareMinerals??? Help please :-) Thank you.

You might be able to bring your own products for them to apply. Sometimes that's good because you know it will not react poorly. Otherwise begin the search. May be hard but call now to save stress later.

You would probably need to bring your own but also talk to your photographer about how it will photograph, sometimes the minerals react to the flash and you come out a little too shiny.

This is totally unrelated but I live in Chicago and the Chicago area brides tend to get together quite a bit, if you'd like to join us please feel free to add me on FB Rachel Meadows McGee so we can meet you! Smiley smile

Wherever it is that you purchase your Bare Minerals, ask if they have a customer who is a MUA.

You're probably better off looking for a MUA that let's you use your own make-up and go from there.

Do you have someone you go to regularly when you buy? I had a job interview there once and they're trained with the makeup. You may can see if someone there could do it.

I think it may be hard to find because I've heard mineral makeup reacts badly in flash photography.

There are a few ladies on here that are MUAs, hopefully they can weigh in on this for you.

@LaurenET - I heard the same thing. My photographer strongly recommended that I not use any kind of mineral makeup on my wedding day because of that.

I love bare minerals for every day, but I'd have concerns about its endurance. I had my trial last Wednesday and tried out the airbrush for the first time. Don't get me wrong, I was wearing way more make up than I usually do (for the sake of engagement photos!), but I personally didn't think it felt too heavy.
