Hi! My FH & I got engaged over the holidays and have started looking at venues and trying to narrow down our options as we're looking to get married December 2020. When we first started looking, we both agreed that we would look for a Florida venue as that is where I am from, and it's Florida in December (Who wouldn't enjoy the heat?). The other option that we started talking about is Maryland/Pennsylvania, which is where he is from, and where we will be living once I finish grad school.
My main concern is that it's December and I don't want the possibility of snow/slush ruining the day. I also want to be able to take outdoor pictures and not freeze our butts off. The other point that my FH brought up is that we would have to travel down to Florida for the ceremony & reception as well as 58 of our 90 guests. He also doesn't want to plan all of this, only to find that half of them won't be attending because of the travel price to Florida in between the holidays.
So should we be looking in Maryland/Pennsylvania versus Florida due to the travel costs for our guests? Am I being ridiculous?
