If you are live streaming your wedding, what platform are you using? Is it free? Who is setting it up and in charge of it during the ceremony? Give me all the details!

I’ve seen a lot of people use zoom. With zoom you can record the whole thing and you can have virtual backgrounds! And it’s free but there is a time limit and I believe a maximum number of occupants for free accounts

Hi Olivia - we are planning to do the same thing for our July 18th wedding. As mentioned above, Zoom has a time limit which is 40 minutes. So that's why we're not going to use it. But we need an alternative now for sure! I did just stumble across this article which says that a company called Joy added a free live-streaming feature to their website. I'm going to check it out.

I’ll have to check it out too! We are having a catholic mass so we will certainly need more than 40 minutes too.

    Hi
We did a livestream for our covid elopement with event live. We paid $50 and the best part was it was live stream of us and not a group video. With group video people talk, have struggles logging in, the camera keeps changing, etc. with event live, we just sent out a link, people click it and there we are. Everyone loved it and not one person had an issue. Our photographer did photos over it and recommends to all her elopement brides

Hi Olivia! I've also seen a few recommendations for Youtube Live recently and a lot of feedback on using Zoom in these posts:

I'm planning to use Google Meet. You have to have a "Gsuite" membership for the invite to be accessible without a gmail account, but they also have a 2 week free Gsuite trial. I'm going to sign up for that a week before the wedding (July 12), then set up a meeting video link that anyone can access/

I set up a Facebook event just for virtual wedding attendees, and will add that link in once I have it. I already an event for our elopement and casual reception afterwards for those who have confirmed they want to attend in person.
