Lipstick/Lip Gloss Recommendations

Resa, on October 28, 2010 at 2:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

OK ladies, I don't usually wear lip makeup, but I would like my lips to have a bit of color and shine to them the day of. I need recommendations for a durable, pretty lip solution. And... GO!!! Smiley smile

I won't buy anything but MAC Lipglass. It has incredible staying power and the most incredible shine of any brand I have ever tried.

I'd try several, because most lip glosses fade quickly and get sticky.

I'd like to know if anyone has tried the Just Bitten line of lip glosses from Revlon. I've heard good things, but just haven't tried it myself self yet.

I loooove buxom lipgloss in princess, it is a plumping lipgloss that tingles instead of stings. its the best i have ever tried, and i try A LOT. i am dieing to try their new buxom big and healthy lipstick, which is said to offer the same results but in lipstick form. i would give them a try for sure

If you are looking for a more budget friendly option, i would recommend Loreal Colour Juice (can be found at Target/Walmart) and it's amazing!

MAC lipglass or lustreglass are incredible! Stila lipgloss is also quite good. If you don't normally wear lipstick/gloss, I'd go with a lipstain (Tarte has good one) and put a lipgloss over it. It will look more natural.

@Meghan-I've tried the Just Bitten line from Revlon. It is ok. I found that I have to apply a lot to get just a bit of color and it does not stay like a stain should. But, for the money it's not bad.

I used the Just Bitten line a while back and i really didn't like it. it almost made me lips feel dry and it wears away funny. it kind of gives you a lip liner after effect. gross.
