Lingerie shower!?!?

I went to one and it was like a shower-bachorlett thing with friends. It was fun. I would not want it to anyone other than close friends personally

I had my own at my bacherlorette this past weekend. It was a game, I had to guess which friend broght which lingerie set. It was just close girlfriends but it was fun and lots of laughs!

That's so awesome! I wish mine was themed like that.

We did this for a friends of mine but it was very small, only the bridesmaids, and we did it at the hotel we stayed in for her bachelorette weekend.

My mother asked me if I want this. NOPE! I totally wouldn't mind attending one if someone else was having it but I really rather not. I buy my own undies and feel uncomfortable with it myself. There are other things I'd rather in life.

I have! It's a tradition in my circles. It's not all sexy lingerie, some comfy robes and funny gifts as well. It's always just close friends, and the only slightly awkward one was my SIL because of all the jokes about my brother, haha.

I'm looking forward to it if my MOH can put it together because lingerie is freaking expensive! Even just having one or two new pieces would be nice and we often go in together for the bride, so the cost is reduced but she still gets showered and we have an excuse to dress up and play some funny games and drink margaritas.

My sister is having a lingerie shower as part of my bachelorette. Most of my girlfriends have done this, and I think it is SO MUCH fun! It works for bachelorette because it's usually a small group of girls who know the bride really well.

I was invited to one. It was for my then bf's neice. I felt awkward. I didnt want to be rude and I wasnt sure what to expect so I went. It wouldnt have been so awkward had I had an actual friendly relationship with her. We hardly talked. Maybe they felt obligated to invite me. I dont know. I got her a victoria's secret gift card and sat in the corner lol

We had to come in our pjs too. That was ok I guess

My bridesmaids got me lingerie at my bachelorette party! I would be mortified to have it as part of my shower, no way I want to open up a fancy bra contraption in front of Great Aunt Sylvia. Nope.

My best friend had one for her wedding and it was fun. We did a game where everyone brought a pair of underwear that they thought best represented the bride they knew and she had to guess which pairs came from which person. She doesn't drink so she had to put them on if she got it wrong but it is normally done where you take a shot of you get it wrong.

I love the idea of this but I don't know how I feel about other people buying me lingerie. Like "oh tonight I'm going to wear the one my grandma got me to have sex with my husband!" Hahaha I don't know... Just seems kind of weird to me.

With just girl friends though I think it would be fun!

We are doing it for bachelorette party - I feel like bridal parties are more family appropriate gifts but you could limit the guest list to be the right people for it.

I've heard of it being done at the bachelorette, versus as its own shower.

My MOH did this for my bachelorette! The "game" was that after I opened them, we had to collectively name them as a group. Then I take them with me on my honeymoon and without seeing them, FH picks what I wear based on the name. It was super fun but personally would've been uncomfortable with older family there. DH's sister was there and it was a little awkward haha

I've been to a bachelorette party where lingerie was given as gifts (and for a game) and it was super fun. Having lingerie at a shower where older family members are typically invited would be awkward in my opinion.

We played this game in the limo at my bachelorette. They each bought me a bra and panty. I had to guess who bought which ones. I had no clue so I just went around guessing until I got it right and moved on to the next one. It was just a silly game while we were drinking wine so we laughed our butts off.

It was fun but Lizzy's game sounds more fun LOL.
