Pinkuin, on February 13, 2014 at 1:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 43

Y'all.... anyone have a better suggestion on how to seal envelopes? I don't feel like licking or wetting all 100 of these... Smiley sad

You can buy something, but it's pretty much just a wet sponge Smiley winking haha

You can also just damp wet a washcloth or tissue and it works just as well.

I have several of these around the house... Seems like it'd be easier to use this then a regular sponge or cloth.

This always makes me think of the Seinfeld episode, where George's fiance dies from licking their cheap wedding invitations. I haven't been able to lick an envelope since... I just dampened a paper towel. It worked fine.

I will NOT lick envelopes. I bought a two pack of self sealers from Office Depot. They are teal blue and cost about $5 for both. Well worth the $!

They look kinda like a pen.

Do they not sell self-seal envelopes? They have adhesive like a sticker on them.

Otherwise, I think a damp paper towel would do the job.

Glue stick from the dollar store... I use them at work...they are great and you don't have to worry about the water spilling!

We have this really cool roller thing at work I use to seal envelopes. I'll probably borrow that. It's super old and heavy, might be made of marble. You put water in the bottom and just roll the envelope over it to wet the seal.
