Just the opposite. It would be weird to choose a hairstyle for a grown woman.

Absolutely not crazy. I'm letting mine choose their hair as well. They know what they like and feel comfortable in. I don't want a bunch of clones. I want my friends because of who they are. The happier and more confident they feel, the prettier they will look in all my photos and memories of the day.

I don't think that's weird at all... you can't really request a specific look unless you are paying the hairstylist to do this look on them. I'm not paying for a hairstylist for my BP (only myself) so they know they can style it however they please. We did discuss, as a group, some easy styles that would work with different hair. I have girls with long hair, straight hair, bob cut, curly hair, etc.

No. I'm doing the same thing. I was also in a wedding where we got to choose our own hair and makeup and it looked in no way strange. If anything, it looks more normal because everyone is different colors, different hair types, different everything. I feel like when people are forced to be uniform, it looks like a bunch of minions. Just my opinion though....

Agreed! My bm's all wore the same dress, but hair, makeup, jewelry and shoe style were totally up to them.

I don't think so. A hairstyle that works for one may not work for another, it's nice for the girls to looks their best.

My girls got to pick their own dresses, MU style, and hairstyle. I want them to look their best and feel their best, which will show in the photos, cause they'll be genuinely happy and comfortable.

No that's really the best thing, honestly. I'd much rather everyone look their best than put them in the same hairstyle

I told my girls to have pictures of what they want so on the wedding day it’s not crazy getting our hair done. I am letting them choose what they want to do with their hair. I am paying for them all to get their hair done and I have no desire to micromanage grown women.

Not weird at all. I only have 3 girls and am letting them pick their dress styles as long as they stick to the color and fabric. They are also allowed to pick their shoes, hair, and makeup (neutral). For me its very relaxed because I have my best friend and roommate from college as my MOH, and my sister and a family friend who is practically a sister as my bridesmaids. So its very laid back and I'm not picky about the details as long as they are in the same color.

This isn't weird at all. I am having mine choose their own hairstyles, and also their own style of dress. The color and length of the dresses will be the same but everythong else will be suited to each lady. The necklaces will probably be the same though.

Im planning on doing the same. Letting them choose how they want to style their own hair. I told my sister which is also my maid of honor and was liek oh okay. Lol

Definitely not! Mine are getting to choose their own dresses (I picked a length, fabric, and color pallette) and everything else. I bought earrings for them but otherwise whatever they want to do with their hair/shoes/nails/etc is up to them. I feel like... they’re my friends, not my dolls.

My fear is to be a BM and have to have the same hairstyle as everyone unless the entire bridal party has type 4 hair

Not weird at all. I'm doing same. I read an article recently that mentioned "the army of identical bridesmaids". It stuck me as funny and I realized, while it's great for some people, it wasn't what I wanted. My girls are all very different so I want that reflected in their look. They'll be in the same color and probably the same fabric but I'm letting them pick the style. Hair and makeup will be different for each as well. I did buy them matching necklaces and we may go with the same shoes.

I only have one bridesmaid and is my maid of honor and shes choosing her outfit and everything with me but totally her style I want her to be as happy as me in that special day

I have a hair stylist and make-up artist coming to do hair and make-up. I let them all decide what they wanted to do. My BMs and MOH are all having their hair done how they want since they all have different lengths. 2 of the 3 are having their make-up done for them.

I think it'd be weird if you chose matching hairstyles for them, especially since they likely all have different types of hair and haircuts... I'm the complete opposite, and am having my bridesmaids choose everything themselves. I personally like mismatched bridesmaids looks.

I don’t think so- my girls are allowed to pick there shoes, hair, make up, and nails (if they want). I also didn’t require they do any of those but gave them the option to do it themselves.
