Let's Talk Signature Drinks!

We won't have them, but our friend's named their drink after their dog so he could be "included" in their day.

Yea we are having 1 signature cocktail but the bar will be open as well. And we didn't name it either but it's not a bad idea...and I love the idea of naming it after your dogs.

Cranberry spritzer with champagne. Our caterer suggested a nonalcoholic drink and I figured why not also use it for the signature drink?

We are having "Something Blue" blueberry vodka lemonade

Awww love the idea of naming it after your dog. Unfortunately, my dog's name is Paprika.... Still trying to figure out our Signature drink though so following for ideas!

We're having mimosas! We're also having a non-alcoholic version.

I named mine, "The Peacock" When mixed right it turns a really pretty teal blue. Coconut rum, melon liqueur, blue curacao and pineapple juice. Sooo delish!

ETA: We also have a full open unlimited bar, so our guests will have tons of options besides our signature.

I do know the girls and I will have mimosas while we are getting ready.

I'm not sure if I'd call mine signature cocktails. I'm making a large dispenser of sangria and a large dispenser of hard iced tea. My main reasoning is just because I can't have glass, so that eliminates liquor (unless I find a few things in plastic bottles). No fancy names.

I do like cute names for signature cocktails if it's not obvious what they are. I don't think I'd rename yours.

We're having one made with Vinque (which is a sparkly purple liquor) to match our wedding colors....Still working on a name for it though

@Valarie this may sound crazy but is there a sweet tea vodka or is it sweet tea and some kind of vodka? If the latter, what kind and/or flavor of vodka do you use?

We named ours after our cat Sacha. It was offered during cocktail hour and then the bar opened up for the reception. The ladies here at WW helped me design it. Vodka. Blue Curacao. Cranberry Juice. It was purple (one of my colors) and a crowd favorite. My H and I would both drink dark liquor and wanted to pick something more crowd friendly.

The sweet tea vodka is called Firefly

We're doing a bride's cocktail and a groom's cocktail. He's already decided on the old fashioned for his, and I figure I'll do something light with clear alcohol for mine. Maybe something with gin. I was thinking about an aviation since it's purple, which is my fave color and one of the wedding colors.

We're just doing white sangria, because of all the options our caterer offers, that seemed like the tastiest and the least likely to stain teeth.

We did signature drinks, as well as an open bar, but we emphasized the signature drinks in hopes that most people would at least try them. I'm a vodka girl and he's a bourbon guy, so it was no-brainer for us to use those as our liquors. We didn't create any fun names, although I originally thought we would and do love that idea!

his: Vermont Maple Bourbon Cider – bourbon, maple syrup, apple cider. My husband is from Vermont and his parents tap maple trees on their property so we used their syrup and made it extra personal!

hers: Raspberry Basil Hibiscus Tea – vodka, raspberry puree, basil infused hibiscus tea. I wanted something with fresh fruit and I don't love super sweet drinks, so we didn't add any sugar or artificial sweetener and it was refreshing. We also added a gold sugar rim because, well, I'm obsessed with gold and when else will I have a chance to do that?

I have been thinking about doing two signature drinks names after our cats. I found this one for Loki, our black cat (who wears a neon green collar and has neon green claw caps):

This is actually a bit of a joke between FH and I.

We have:

The Fighting Irish: Jameson, ginger beer & lime

Husker Punch: vodka, gin, triple sec, Sprite, and cranberry juice

The Lori: jack & diet coke

The Matt: Bud Light

It all sprang from a friend asking if I was going to make our favorite drinks into a signature drink at my wedding. Matt was like "Um, so would that mean mine would be Bud Light?" He doesn't have what I would call refined taste in alcohol.

We are doing a blue sangria.

@Valarie omg angryballs are my fav <3 I also love cinnamon toast crunch shots with rumchata and fireball. I know my sig cocktail is gonna be a Sleep Cycle (kinky, hypnotiq, and sprite layered to look like sleeping beauty!) but idk what we're gonna do for his cuz he doesn't drink lol
