Let's go to the courthouse!

Before you make a decision, you might check with your local municipality about how they schedule courthouse weddings. I've read that dates with significance or patterns like yours can be really busy and possibly book very early. If you're making a choice based on that date, I'd make sure it's likely to be available to you.

What I do regret is not sticking with our original courthouse wedding. I decided to have a traditional church wedding, but I really wish we had just stuck with our initial plan. It would've saved us a bunch of stress and money!

I absolutely would’ve had one if we had any good looking court houses nearby!! We were going to elope, bought an elopement dress and everything. We were going to go to a cute court house like we see in wedding blogs, have a picnic and take awesome photographs, then hang out in the city and go out to dinner.
But now we’re having a wedding. My anxiety riddled brain wishes so badly we stuck to our original plan but it’s too late. 😰

You need to decide which you really want. It is totally possible to plan a traditional wedding in six months and have it perfect and beautiful. It’s also ok to have a simple courthouse wedding. There’s also he option of having a courthouse wedding with a fancier reception if that’s what you choose. You just don’t want to end up with regrets over your decision. Talk to your fiancé and figure out together what is going to be the best option for you.

Our courthouse only does weddings on Mondays and Fridays.
