Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

So, we are from Florida (as are all of our guests) and we will be having a destination wedding in TN (note December date.)

I think it would be really sweet to have fake snow fall on us during our first dance. I know some may consider this tacky and I can understand that for everyone North of Florida, but knowing my crowd they'll all be in awe as so many have never experienced snow, and I know they'll be hoping to see some in TN mountains although they may not on our date. Anyways, I have heard of evaporating snow, so that it never touches the ground and makes it slippery. However, I have no idea where to find these.

When I search online I see really big heavy equipment and lots of lingo I don't recognize. Any suggestion on how and what to search for?

They should have that stuff all over Florida. And I'm sure it's on the Internet. Devising some contraption to make it fell slowly from the ceiling might take some engineering though lol

Please do not do this....The "snow" will stick to your dress and is essentially soap. If you do it inside, it will make the floor slippery. The machines are also really quite loud - which will kill the ambiance.

Is that Brother's Cove Landing? We're getting married in Pigeon Forge and I scoped them out before we chose our venue. Snow in actual Sevierville (like the city limits) is really unlikely in December. The parkway (within the National Park) usually sees a lot of snow from December to even April of this year. It's much higher elevation. And they blow snow at Ober in Gatlinburg if you really wanted snow pictures.

To answer your question though, the only snow machines I've seen are the sudsy foam ones and even from afar they didn't look very realistic. If your ceremony was outside maybe you could get a real snow blower. I'm not sure how great they work though.
