We have no bridal party, no ring bearer and no flower girls. So we will only take about 20 seconds or so to get down the aisle. I see the following options in regard to dealing with a too long song:

1) Just cut the music off once we are at the end of the aisle. Don't worry about ending the music at a specific point.

2) Attempt to find an appropriate length "excerpt" from the song, so it has a more natural conclusion.

3) Let the song play from the beginning and rehearse in an attempt to finish walking down the aisle approximately when the song ends.

I'm probably over-thinking this, but I don't want the music to sound weird or cut off.

I was assuming we could just let the recessional song continue into dinner, so that's less of an issue.

How are you handling your ceremony music?

I was wondering about this too. Our song is about 3:30. Originally I only wanted one song, and have the BM's all walk in to it as well, then we let it play out the last little bit while FH and I take a moment to just let it sink in before the ceremony actually begins (probably only 20 seconds or so?) But now I don't know.

We have a medium sized bridal party (7, maybe 8), and no extra attendants. Obviously the parents have to walk down to something, should the parents and the BP walk down to a different song? BLAHHHHHHHHHHH the music parts of the wedding are just not my thing. I don't like any of the traditional wedding music.

I had the same question. We are fading the song out.
