Left handed-ness and rings being annoying?

If you are left handed (I am) do you ever find that your rings get in the way? I'm strongly considering switching and wearing them on my right hand as I don't think there is any rule that I have to wear it on my left I understand where the tradition stems from, but tradition can suck it because...

I'm strongly considering switching and wearing them on my right hand as I don't think there is any rule that I have to wear it on my left Smiley winking I understand where the tradition stems from, but tradition can suck it because these rings are always in my way. If I'm just wearing my band (I have a claddagh band that I've been wearing with my ering in the "engaged" position), it doesn't bother me and is comfortable but I don't want to just wear my wedding band all the time.

What do you left handers do?

Lefty, doesn't bother me at all. For nearly 10 years I've been wearing the first ring FH ever got me on my left ring finger. Not as a promise ring but just because I did.

now that I have my e-ring, i'm so used to it, doesn't bother me at all.

Lefty here. Took me a while to get use to it, but I'm good now. I mean, like 4-5 months before I was comfortable with my e-ring.

Lefty here too! I don't really have an issue with my ring, I got used to wearing it after a couple of days. My big issue is I have gotten rude remarks from people saying I'm showing off when signing papers or doing anything with just my left hand, I guess they think everyone is right handed. I carry everything on my left side phone, purse, groceries, etc.

@NautiBride my FH does the same thing, I always have to plan where to sit so I wont bump him lol. I either sit across from him or to his left.

When I first got engaged I asked if I could wear my ring on my right hand. That got shut down real quick. Ha I'm used to it now but I don't wear it when I'm working.

The only issue I'm having is when my hands shrink. My ring turns so much when I'm writing or working. Ugh.. and when I clap.. my hand ends up hurting so bad during church!

I'm also a lefty, but I've worn rings om my left hand before so it doesn't bother me much. I do however, like @Nicole A, get distracted by it and stop to admire it when I'm in the middle of typing at work.

I'm right handed but write with my left sometimes on my dry erase board (teacher here), and I find it is strange and uncomfortable with the rings on.

I'm not a lefty, but in Greece/Greek orthodox culture we wear our rings on our right hands, so hey, do what you want. I wear mine on my left though regardless, but that's beside the point lol.

I'm a lefty and I haven't had any problems. I'm not married yet, so I don't know if that's going to change once I have a band. I love my set though.

Almost everywhere but america wears the ring on the right hand. I am part greetk and was taught it goes on the right hand because there is a biblical prayer that states "put the ribg on the right hand". But im left handed also so it helps lol

I'm ambi (or lefty with almost everything but writing) and wear rings on both hands. I've never had a problem doing anything with rings on. The only "problem" I have is keeping them in line because I don't want to get them soldered.

It was annoying at first but I've only got the engagement ring right now. I've found myself taking it off when I have to write or something though.

I'm a lefty and it hasn't bothered me. But this is my second wedding, so maybe I was used to it.

Yes if my hands get cold and the ring spins it drives me NUTS I end up putting lotion on to make my hands "sticky" and the friction makes my hands warm and swell a little, it helps temporarily.

I'm SUPER late to this conversation. 🤣 Found this tread because I too am having leftie issues.

Mainly anxiety over people thinking I'm showing off my ring when I'm just LEFT HANDED. I've had a few people accuse me of flashing my ring around.
