If your spouse stood you up at the altar would you still be engaged to him/her or is the relationship over?

If there was an emergency, I would understand. But if I was being stood up, the relationship would absolutely be over. That is incredibly disrespectful and humiliating. I would not be able to move past that.

    Oh, that's a strong DONE.

DH's BM had a great little video of asking DH how it felt to be getting married, day of, and DH just said, "FINALLY!" so, no worries about that over here.

But I've called off a wedding before. The Ex didn't believe it, and wanted to continue the relationship.

I had to, actually, literally, dump his stuff on his parents' lawn.

Because if he's not ready to marry me after being together basically 10 years than he most likely never will be. Again emergency makes it different.

Just to clarify, if he got down on one knee too soon the relationship would be over?

I agree that it's disrespectful and humiliating but is it worth throwing the relationship away for?

My husband would have made the choose to throw away the relationship by standing me up on our wedding day. That, to me, is not a relationship worth saving.

    Dear Husband. Instead of Future.

    My Ex?

He's an evil human being who landed himself in jail - rightfully so - multiple times.

No, if he got down on one knee, and then left me up by the altar because he wasn’t ready for the commitment it would be over! I’m saying if he wasn’t ready for marriage, he shouldn’t have proposed.
