Leaving the next day for honeymoon?

We are also doing or hm and wedding pretty similar. we have an open bar and leaving the venue at 11PM. We are flying the next day to Florida for a cruise that leaves monday. We picked a flight not super early but late morning. So it will give us time in the morning to get our bearings and leave for the flight. But we will have time after we arrive to relax some more and stay over night before the cruise.

Depends what time you leave. We got married Sunday and left Tuesday morning. We left for the airport at like 8am. So I wouldn’t have been able to do a flight at that time on Monday, but if it was a late flight that should be fine

For us, the flight is over 25 hours and we get there at 5 in the morning and that is when our tour guide will pick us up and take us on our first hike. I think I am worried about getting sick at some point because of the lack of sleep.

Makes since, we are looking at an early afternoon flight. The good thing is the airport is 15 mins away from where we are staying. I just have to make sure I don't go too crazy the night before lol

We left Monday morning (around 8 AM) and our wedding was on a Saturday night. It would have been really hard if we had to leave Sunday unless it was later Sunday evening. We went to Hawaii from Denver so it was around 8 hours of flight time total and 1-2 hour layovers. Having Sunday to go home, finish honeymoon packing, put wedding gifts & calls at our house, etc. was really nice to just relax for one day.

Our flight takes off at noon the day after our wedding!

View Quoted Comment Haha for sure. Can you sleep on planes? That would make a big difference too. I can never sleep on a plane so I probably wouldn’t be able to do that but if you can it would be much easier.

So we plan to catch a flight out right after our send off from the reception. We dont plan on the reception lasting into the wee hours. We plan to catch a red eye to San Diego and spend the day in California before getting on a cruise ship to Hawaii for 15 days. I know some say we might be tired but I honestly think I would be more exhausted having to travel on Sunday. I would rather hop on a plan and relax all day Sunday and already be where we need to be to go on our cruise.

We are leaving for 8 days in Jamaica the day after the wedding, but our flight leaves at 6pm so we have time to sleep in and roam before we go

Our wedding is a Thurs night and we leave Saturday morning for our honeymoon. We need to use the day after the wedding to return tuxedos and deposit wedding checks. We will be gone for 2 weeks as well.

We're getting married on a Saturday but will be leaving Monday morning for our honeymoon. I originally wanted to leave the next morning, but we're getting married an hour & a half from where we live (and where we're flying out of) so it would've been hard to drive home that night, then, leave early in the morning the next morning. My old roommate waited until Monday to leave for her honeymoon after her Saturday wedding and was so glad she did! That was one of the things that made me decide to wait.

Right! get all the traveling out of the way so you can actually relax. Unfortunately I won't have time to relax once we reach our destination.

We are looking at a pretty similar flight time so hopefully it won't be as bad since we can sleep in. Probably request a late hotel check out.

View Quoted Comment That sucks but hopefully you will still be wired and on cloud 9 from the festivities that you will be able to be on the go until you can unwind. Maybe take something to help you sleep on your flight also.
