Did any of you DIY for your wedding album? If so who did you use?

I just made a shutterfly album of our HM pics and I should get it in the mail this week! I'll let you know how it turns out. I can't remember if I ordered the hard cover or the leather cover?.........guess I'll find out.

I really liked the shutterfly templates. It took a lot of time but aside from being time-consuming it was very easy to make an interesting layout.

I also looked at mixbook and a couple of other sites, and shutterfly's upload process was easier/quicker for me so I liked that too. It could have just been timing but the other sites would freeze if I selected too many photos, or they would take forever.

I'm not married yet, but happened to be glancing on Groupon, and saw this for a leather bound photobook for $9 (+$7 shipping). Thought I'd share, thought I'm not sure what you'd get for $9, but it's cheap so...

I'm using mixbooks. they have a LOT of layout choices--a necessity for someone like me! I didn't have any issues with the upload and the picture can be as big as 16 meg which is great is you do a full-bleed picture that covers two pages. Smiley smile

As far as ratings, they seems to come out the best all around. I have two books on order and they should arrive this week. Hopefully, the quality will be as good as I read.

@Reenski, that book is *tiny*. It's an 8x8 and 20 pages which is actually only 10 pieces of paper.

I would recommend http://www.adoramapix.com/app/products/books - It uses real photo paper, not flimsy magazine paper. Their pricing is pretty good for the quality you get.

So what size would you use for:

    Personal wedding album?

    Parents album?

    Thanks Aria!

My photographer is doing my big album, but I'll probably want a general album of our vacation, and future vacations, and future babies! That website looks awesome.

I like shutterfly, but everyone has shutterfly books now. Smiley smile

(And I think it was Kodak that started the trend like 6 years ago.)

I've made a few photobooks & have used two different companies:

Smile book is easier to use, but fewer options for cover. I think the quality is also excellent. I would opt for this. They have a deal going on now...

Photobook America has nicer covers options. I used this for my main wedding photobook and unfortunately was very disappointed w/how the colors and photo sharpness quality came out. It's not horrible but was disappointed and the application wasn't as easy to use as Simile book. they have a deal going on now too.

    Good luck!
