Anyone have fun ideas on Leap Day wedding hashtags? I was trying to think if something cute that's not the typical "#Leapoffaith" kind of thing. Ideas are much appreciated!! Smiley heart

**** coming soon! Bachelorette party in one week! Done with everything except final fitting and making my music playlist now. Waiting until Feb. 1 for final guest count to get the food. Small and simple is my plan, but I’m usually large and loud so.....

All you ladies getting married on this date, remember how special it really is. My fiancé and I are numbers and oddities peeps and Leap Day only falls on Saturday once every 23 years! (It was my grandfather’s birthday.)

This year? Or 4 years from now? We moved from the south side of the island to a resort closer to San Juan. If you’re looking for venues in Puerto Rico, I can recommend them. I went on a trip around PR last year and visited so many venues across the island; from private rentable estates to resorts to other locations, we did a ton of research and location spotting. Are you looking to get married by the beach? In old San Juan? In the mountains/rainforest? Let me know and maybe I can point you in the right direction.

We were going to get married in Guanica too, but then the earthquakes happened. Copamarina. We then had to cancel and move. Many other couples have been displaced from that resort and have had to move to new venues; our new venue has had to turn down some couples. Really unfortunate. I am like 5 weeks out and we have to move our 83 guests to the new resort and they have to rebook all their rooms. It’s a pain but at least my wedding is still happening and on the same date, although not the way I envisioned it. I’m sure it will be fine for you if it is several months out though and all this earthquake and earthquake relief stuff blows over. My fiancé is from PR, by the way. Beautiful place.

To rejoin the greater thread, it is totally insane but I had pretty much all the tiny details figured out, all materials printed, all the decor ready to go. The master schedule was ready. Vendors in place. Really everything was set. After moving venues 6 weeks before because of the earthquake destruction blocking entrances to our resort, our flower lady decided to be an absolute PITA and didn’t want to come to the new location, nor did she want to cooperate in fulfilling what flowers were in her contract (she kept trying to use cheaper flowers I personally don’t like) so we had to fire her (and lost money). We had to work with a new venue schedule, new hair and makeup people (again our previous lady wouldn’t travel). I’m just now getting a new florist and will then have to reprint weekend schedules as well as maybe design little ceremony guides. I pick up my dress on Tuesday with all the final alterations done. Relatively speaking, I’m in good shape considering the whole thing could have been cancelled. I’m also considering doing some salsa lessons or doing a quick dance routine with bae but it’s hard to find on short notice. On top of all this, work is very busy. I hope all you ladies are in good spirits for your big day!!! I’m trying my hardest to be calm and scheduling some spa appointments to keep stress levels down.

I have to say I am so happy I read this because I was totally freaking out. For the Last minute 34 days out items:

    -final meeting for the venue

    -pick up tuxedos

    -pay final payments for vendors

-Go to the Tulip Field for a toss bouquet

    -Finish making the garter

    -DIY Handfasting cord/ribbon

-Decide on decorating our FJ Cruiser as we exit (I just love my Roxi Rovakana, named my car)

    -Create the wedding emergency kit

-Send out the official wedding itinerary

I had my bachelorette weekend a few months ago, I do something every three months I did:

-Bride Wars: for the bridal team to meet it was so much fun

-Bride Hike: Great nature idea for a shower

-Bride E-Party: Everyone got out FaceTime and we discussed the status of dresses and etch

-Picking of the dress: bridesmaids went to help me find a dress

-Bachlorette Gals Weekend: soooo much fun

*Bridal Whoosa Shower: Dinner and lets take a moment-This is going to be 3 weeks before the wedding

-Bride Yoga-Morning of, a photo opt for a Yogini (me) with bridesmaids and just be centered.

T-minus 27 days you all! 02/29/2020 is right around the corner.

Destination: Los Cabos. Venue: Casa Dorada Resort. Style: "Overlooking the" Beach Wedding. Guests: 70

The beauty is that the hotel has a coordinator and has all the vendors contracted so it's a "one stop shop" (somewhat...we chose a our own photographer and MUA in Cabo after meeting with a few). Food and drinks are set since the venue uses the resort's restaurant space. DJ, minister, florist are set. We still need the final quote for the wedding though. Our coordinator sent us the wrong pricing that we did not agree upon in our initial contract Smiley sad Basically showing we owed $10 grand more than we already deposited/ agreed upon. Yea, no.

RSVP's are in, seating layout is set up, 'day of' schedule is drafted. Decor is pretty much done by the florist. Waiting on the guest gifts, card box, seating chart, table cards, and display easels to ship. (I just have to pack all these things in my luggage somehow.) I have 2 more dress fittings. I still need to find "something blue" but if I forget, oh well, blue isn't a part of my color scheme. Groom has all his clothing set and wedding band. Waiting on the jeweler to create my wedding band still...

Not doing a bouquet toss. No garter toss. No money dance (Filipino tradition). Still need to pick songs for our parent dances...

I think the only logistic struggle for our location in particular is making sure our guests have booked their airport shuttles/transportation. There are 2 cities in the region: San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas (aka Los Cabos) which are 30-40 minutes away from the airport. We try to let our guests know but I have a feeling we will have some last minute complaints.

    Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything!

    15 more days!

My bachelorette party is this weekend- going to a boozy festival and dinner with my favorite girls.

I picked up my dress from alterations today. Picked out my jewelry. Made final plans with all of my vendors... I'm just about ready!

All I need to do now is confirm rehearsal dinner plans with the restaurant, finish painting my seating chart, and work out transportation to/from the hotel (I got a hotel the night before for my bridesmaids and I).

Curious how everyone else is doing! How much left do you have to do? Getting nervous?

I'm feeling better than I was, but we've still got a ton to do. I'm banking on getting my tax return in the next week or we may not have a reception! LolNot nervous about the getting married part though, I'm super excited. Ready to be a wife!

I've had my dress since December, I bought mine off the rack. Today were going back so my mom can get her dress, and I can get my veil steamed to get the creases out of it. Our rehearsal is the night before, and were hoping we can get into our reception hall that night to decorate, but they aren't garunteeing it. If not we can't get into the hall until 10 am to setup and our ceremony is at noon. The whole "1 week to go" stress is hitting me. Meanwhile I still have to but our flowers(silk), and arrange them, and were finishing getting our decorations prepped Sunday!
