I'm a Leap Day Bride! Can't believe we're less than 3 months away from the wedding!! So excited! I have most things done. We're just working on small things now! We have to finalize some songs for the cocktail hour & reception, get our guestbook sign painted or bought, print out pictures for picture frames, buy gifts for our parents, and complete one DIY (I'm decorating a motorcycle helmet as we're leaving on FH's motorcycle). We'll be sending out the invites on 1/2/20 so I'll be working on getting those finished this month as well. What do you have left?

Your wedding date is so cool! What day are you going to celebrate anniversaries on non-leap years?

I know!!!! I’m excited and nervous lol. That is awesome that you’re decorating his motorcycle, super unique! I sent the invites 2 weeks ago since we have a lot of out of town guests. We have our flower appointment this weekend so I’m excited. We have majority of the big stuff done. I’m pretty sure I’m missing small details lol.

Thank you! Lmao everybody asks us that when we tell them our date! I told my fiancé jokingly whatever mood I am in lol. We can either celebrate February 28 or March 1. He actually picked the date so he knows every 4 years means a big trip 😜

My fiance and I will be married this year on Leap Day! We have already gotten our self-uniting marriage license and will be joined by only our siblings for the big day. We're all set and can't wait!!

EXACTLY why we went with Leap Day! I love the idea of making a big deal out of it every four years. I've already started dreaming of where we might go in 2024!

We have so, so, so much left! We need to send invites, which we have designed, we need to print them and send them though... We don't have a photographer, the one we chose ended up not working out, and the one we originally went with isnt responding now. FH still needs his shirt, we need ties for everyone. Have to order flowers (I'm doing them myself with silk flowers). Not to mention, were doing our own good, so that's what the week leading up to will be used up doing... And we've got 46 days...

We have a few ideas for our honeymoon (which we need to book this week, eek!) so I'm thinking of whatever we don't go with for that. We're narrowed down to French Polynesia or a South American cruise.

Thanks Juli! Also were having issues with FH's BM, he doesn't agree with anything we've planned, and pretty much wants us to go back to the drawing board and he wants more of a say in everything. And my MOH, had to back out due to her employer not letting her take the day off, so I've got to get another one... the biggest hindrance, is I've not got a job anymore, so its hard to pay for anything wedding wise, when were just scraping by surviving on FH's pay.

We want to do more traveling, so we decided every non-leap year anniversary we would do smaller trips and on leap year anniversaries a larger, likely international trip Smiley smile We got the idea from our friends who do a trip on their anniversary every year. IDK where I'm supposed to be at in the planning process, but I'm sure it's behind LOL

    Hey Nicole!

We are doing the same thing (smaller trips on off years larger on big years)! How fun!

That’s awesome! We’re doing Thailand for ours. I have never gone to French Polynesia so that would be so much fun!

Ultimately, it’s you and your FH’s day and your vision. Honestly, if I had the chance to back out of bridal party, I would have. It gets so much complicated lol. And yeah when it comes to finances, it’s so much stress!

I kind of told him off yesterday after he got upset because we want him to wear a white shirt, and I told him: We have our wedding planned, and we know what we want for OUR wedding, and he decided to call me snippy. FH is kind of contemplating telling him nevermind, but now that I don't have a MOH that might not be the best idea. Were not asking much from our wedding party. Just wear the dress (which I was very lenient on) show up, and sign the paper. We do have some money put aside already, and only have another $500 to pay for things, but with a month and a half, it almost seems impossible.

Haha, I just mean I'm not sure what exact things I'm supposed to have done at this point. The way she said "last minute" makes me think I'm behind bc I'm sitting here thinking, well damn I still have like a month and a half lol. Last minute to me = week of
